lol west coast fans don't over-rate him. i hate him.

hate is a strong word...i don't want him in our footy side.

i'd be pissed if he actually came good at another club though.

personally i can't see him leaving, we've put too much time into him to get a pick 25+ in an average draft.

Ebert is worthy of a 1st round pick, hes a ball magnet but dont use it well similar to kane cornes, whatever team he plays for back home weather its the crows or port adelaide he'll fit right in and be a top 5 play in my opinion,Kane Cornes to west coast???

I recall Crazy Vossy rating him as one of the best of the draft (based on his AIS coaching knowledge of young Ebert).

WCE should give Vossy a call - may get two first rounders for him.

Kid can deffinately play, would be a great 3rd tall rotating through the midfield for a club that requires one, like a Walker, Crameri, Mayne type.

I dont think we should get rid of him but if we are chasing something quality you have to give up quality. And regardless of what the BF analysists on here think he can play.

Everyone hated on Seaby and Staker before they were traded and now they are great aquisitions for both clubs.

This kid is allot more talented then those two, any club with a shortage of tall forwards and a need for a 3rd marking target would be lucky to have him.

What makes people think he's leaving?

FWIW, Ebert would probably command a pick in the 20's, or maybe high teens. That's if he was leaving. If clubs were actually enquiring or we wanted to trade him, I suspect we'd be asking for a first rounder.

It is amazing (and amusing) to see how opinions change.

Until now, WCE fans have been offering Ebert up in all sorts of trades. They did not rate him or want him.

Now he wants out and suddenly.... he is a gun, worth a 1st rounder, blah blah.

Not just WCE fans, all clubs do this. Amusing to see.

Anyway, early 2nd rounder. Port's 2nd round pick would be handy for the Eagles, Port would love to have another Ebert. Just do it. Nobody else will be falling over themselves to get him.

Agree.

He's average. The odd good game is in between a lot of average ones with some embarrassing ones thrown in too. He's 'versatile' only for the fact he's too slow, unskilled, and fumbly for the middle and too slow, unskilled and fumbly to be a forward.

He is tackled too much, goes to ground too often and ends too many good passages of play with a shit kick to be played ahead of Ham, Strijk, Stevens etc.

At least some WC supporters are honest. A 3rd rounder should be enough to get the deal done, if not Port can get Ebert in the PSD for free.

20-30 maybe, 10-20, no.

West Coast fans overrate him. Port would be his obvious destination but their earlier picks are like gold to them at the moment... and I don't think Port has anything WC needs as far as a player swap.

IF he is traded, I doubt any WC fan will be happy with the deal.

You are an idiot.

Over 70 games at the age of 21-22 still 2-3 years from top form. Easily worth a first round pick.

Ebert would never walk out on the club into the PSD. He would simply sign the contract we are offering.

Eagles wont trade in for more draft picks. We will trade in for players. The club has made that intention pretty clear. Ebert + Masten for Pick 1 in the u17 draft would be ideal in all honesty. Ebert to Port for 2nd rounder. 2nd rounder + Masten for u17 pick

There is no way in hell that port will part with their 1st pick for him...ie 1st round pick ( top 10 ish).

They may use their 2nd round pick on him but in a normal draft that would equate to a 3rd rounder which is fair IMO

Eagles should play hard ball and get him to GWS if they can, but that want happen i guess.

Eagles fans thinking he's a top 10er are deluded then some

What about Daniel Motlop being involved? His young son is in Perth, West Coast need an x-factor forward and are a premiership contender.

I know you West Coast supporters will probably laugh, but you really should think it through. Daniel Motlop is one of the most dangerous forwards in the game. People go to games to watch guys like him. It will allow Mark LeCras to play up the ground more.

Brad Ebert for Daniel Motlop and our 2nd Rounder. Win win for both

They won't want Motlop.

Ebert is worth our 2nd rounder anyway, that should get the job done. If they wanted Motlop as well, go for it. But they wouldn't want him imo

AFAIK if ebert walks and GWS pick him up we'll get compensation as long as he's the one who walks. So worst comes to worst i'd say we'd get an end of first round compo pick for him.

He has to want to go to GWS first.

End of the day, Brad Ebert is coming home to Alberton

Players aren't cars. Their value doesn't depreciate as soon as they're drafted; that's why GWS got what they did for Scully and Ward.

Ebert's years so far have hardly let him down. Whilst he may not be worth pick 13 in a compromised draft, he hasn't dropped as far as most have suggested.

Id rather he stay and demand (through pre season training and pre season games next year) a starting midfield spot. He wants to take the soft way out and go to a club that will hand him a midfield gig when in reality its all in his own hands. Improve his disposal and build his tank to elite levels and he will get that midfield spot he craves.
