The Judd trade was pretty fair I thought.
If we get pick 28 I think that's fair. Be pretty dissapointed with less.

I agree I thought it was a trade that benefited both clubs.
Pick 28 should just about get it done you would have thought.

In a way yes, Nisbett said he would only go to Carlton in exchange for pick 1 plus players. How did that go?

pick 28 in this draft gives us about a 10% chance of drafting a player as good as ebert. If that.

As well as you guys when you tried to get top dollar for Jacobs last year![]()

That was my exact point, Port has all the bargaining power in this trade.
Everything except the PSD option, GWS and GC both wouldn't pass up the chance to draft a 21 year old with 50+ games under his belt already given the inexperienced youth they have.
Over rating Ebert a bit I reckon.
Yes he played a lot of games since he was drafted but apart from this year the Eagles have struggled since he has been at the club.

Like GC - if they pass on their final pic, which they most likely will, they'll have 1st pick in the PSD.i thought gws didn't have psd pick i might be wrong but I'm sure i read they haven't
id play hardball and pick him up at no.2 psd. gc wont pick him up because he will want to leave next year. why not screw another team over its happend to us in the past.
Because next time you need to deal with us we will return the favour and it might cost you much more than pick 28. We have a history of being good to deal with and clubs have a long memory when it comes to such dealings.
It won't go to PSD, Ebert like Judd owes and respects the club and he will want a fair and equitable deal to be done.
Think I said this on another thread, it's all about benchmarking and I guess the first trade sets the benchmark. For instance if the first trade is Gunston for Pick 24 then I think Ebert for 28 is probably too much and it should be 33.
However I think it will be Pick 28 that gets the deal done.
With that in mind that makes Griffin worth something in the 40's and Maric in the 50's or 60's.
