I very much doubt that.

No club wants a player on their list that does not want to be there. The player just never performs.

mmm

players preferes isnt the same as not wanting to be at another club

plenty of ego about this time of the year. I recall WC drafted Tim Watson on retirement so he couldnt play cheaply for another club.

the facts are ebert spat the dummy because he didnt make the cut, we can guess how enlightening his post season interview was.

most WC supporters are fed up with his decision making.

he will be best 22 for port but not WC and and dummy spits are not what leaders are made of. He would be valuable to GC or GWS even as an investment to ontrade to port later.

28, meh. 6 is over priced. three way deals that get closer to say 20 give not real certainty in the draft over 28.

Its spud rotation time.

So west coast lose a player, port lose nothing and hold onto picks.

We just don't get a player and you guys still lose.

Summary of this post: Ebert is a spud, give us pick 20 for him.

Brad Ebert loses out big time. Port Adelaide and WCE screw him over and hes left in Blacktown earning a sixth of what Israel Folau gets to play for a team certain to finish last. If I was Ebert id retire from football altogether. A trade will be done or Ebert will back down and sign a 1 year deal with the Eagles. The threat of the PSD is laughable because GWS simply wont let it happen.

Nope. Newton was pick 35 in a strong draft, and probably would've been higher if not for injury concerns. He hasn't gotten on the park to show anything to change his value either way, and definitely not to pick 45 in a weak draft.

Obviously Newton is worth more than pick 45, that is the point, to make the offer of pick 28/33 better! I thought that would be obvious!

Doubtful.

Port would have a decent offer on the table given the salary cap space they have and GWS would have to match it as Brad can nominate his salary.

Yer, he's so not best 22 here he played almost every game despite our total lack of injuries. Don't let the fact he finished out of the mix at the end of the year fool you, he hadn't accepted a new contract, so the club would have known he wanted out. ;)

With free agency coming up what would be the point? Id rather trade away pick 28 if I was Port then double Eberts salary. Not too sure his teammates will be impressed by his 500k+ wage

Believe it or not, but BF Port Supporters are not in charge of PAFC list management.

Clearly you haven't been paying attention, it's been confirmed by Rhode that the initial offer was pick 33.

Youre wrong...

Oh, OK. Well, that's cleared that up then. Enjoy picks 28 and 33 :(

Clearly BF Supporters are not part of Port's list management, but logic and fairness plays a part in speculation and 28 + 33 for Ebert is not a fair trade, therefore zero chance of happening.

With Rohde talking up the PSD option I wouldn't expect their offer to improve much picks wise.
Port need to hang on to their picks, so there is 0 chance of them giving 28+33 for Ebert, even with the Eagles sending their 2nd round ports way.

If you need it improved your best bet is going to be looking at a player not more picks.

You may get them to offer pick 28 instead of 33, but really Port do have the upper hand in negotiations, as Adelaide aren't interested which will make it hard for you to get what you think he is worth.
