Seems as though we are looking at putting him on our rookie list for next season, after he has really impressed down at Sandy.

I think this is great, as if he has any sort of potential like his old man, then he will be sensational for us. I look forward to watching him develop! :)

It would be great to see him on our Rookie list next season, hes a great player with a lot of talent. I have seen him play for Sandy a few time this season and i think he'd do our team some good.:D

Sounds raw, a year in the Sandy firsts should give us enough time to decide if we want to put him on our senior list or not. So a rookie list place is a good idea IMO.

He has been BOG in many games this year, sure, but don't forget he was playing for the Sandy seconds, a level of football which wouldn't challange many U18 comps for quality. If he can mimic this form in the seniors, thats a different story all together, but even from there it's a big step upto AFL.

I know you guys are a bit lukewarm to the guy, but I do think we need to give him credit. He is only 17 and was asked over MID-YEAR by the club to play Sandy seconds. I believe that's basically all they wanted him to play, but he has been impressing so much that he got a run in the seniors.

I am excited on the basis that he is a Flower, and that for the last half of the year he has been fantastic. He has played better than all the other Melbourne listed players down there, so he must be doing something right.

Rookie List next year, watch him flourish! :)

Sure hope so mate, I reckon the rookie list is the way to go for Brad, if he stars promote him if not give him anonther year to develop.

I reckon he's a fair way off yet though.

Apparently he is pretty committed to a plumbing apprenticeship too, so it's how they want to add him to the list to make sure he is with us and with no-one else!

I'm genuinely excited about a Flower on our list! :)

I believe his plumbing apprenticeship commitments clashed with Sandy training earlier in the year, hence the reason he couldn't commit early on in the year to being on the Sandy list.

The VFL 2's aren't a great competition, but to come in and get named in the best week after week says he has some potential. Ryan Ayres hasn't been able to do as much in the Sandy 2s as Brad Flower has.
