It is an interesting stance from Fremantle given the manner in which they received Hill and Cam McCarthy.

Lols, we offered way overs for McCarthy, GWS said no. If someone wants to give way overs they can send it our way and we’ll probably deal.

We were lucky with Hill that it didn’t matter much since you were packaging up the lot. That deal also seemed to be agreed to before trade week. I’m sure you could have gotten more if it was necessary

I don’t think that reduces player value that much. Hill has performed in a premiership side and a bottom 8 side, has all the runs on the board you could possibly want

As Snuff pointed out you obviously didn't pay attention to what happened with McCarthy, but I am interested to hear what value you would put on a player who has sat out a year for personal reasons?

Hawthorn decided to unload Hill in their quest for salary cap relief and a draft pick so they could get a steal of a deal from GCSs for O'Meara. They got exactly what they asked for didn't they? Hilarious Hawthorn supporters having a little retrospective cry, but those salty tears are blurring the reality of the trade. What is Scully worth these days btw?

Your point about home sickness is really unclear if you are referring to the club's stance. The club isn't homesick, the players are. The club's stance is to offer up a trade deal for a player they want.

Scully was a salary dump, yes. Just like you lot needed to free salary space for O'Meara, and also find a bit of trade capital to get the deal done. Being pick 22 was irrelevant as a measure of Hill, it is simply a means to an end for you guys. If we gave you pick 15 which may have been closer to his worth, it goes to GCSs.
 
Didn't watch the game but apparently had 9 turnovers from 32 touches?

EDIT: A SuperCoach score of 58 from 32 touches is genuinely impressive. This isn't a slight, just wish I'd watched the game so I could gauge his effectiveness.

different circumstances. contributed in flag winning team, left the hawks with no ill will, to come home.
so now he's gonna leave his home and family where he's already earning decent money to follow some kitten? weak. He's whipped.
 
he is a downhill skiier type player who is very useful to a side ready to contend, so the logial choice would be a west coast but he wants to go to vic due to gf hence a team like collingwood and richmond would be perfect. However, there is the salary cap issue at these two team that there is barely any room with the current players let alone some at his price level. The next tier would be essendon as they are always teasing but never delivering hence Hill would be a half decent fit due to the nature of the player and the club, this can also be applied to melbourne but they are a basket case. Don't think we north is even interested as there has been no inquiry at the moment at all. This time last year, Polec was almost a done deal.

Won a bnf and is a fair chance to win another one with Fremantle, so dunno how u come to that conclusion when they aren’t really a powerhouse team. Probably the most damaging winger in the league, huge work rate, speed to burn and one of the best kicks around, any team would benefit from having him

Not sure how you could claim a guy playing good footy in an ordinary side is a downhill skier.

He's a similar player to Polec, only a bit better...

Lol and with your superior knowledge u know everything about port Adelaide fc. Polec was singlehandedly carrying the team in 2018 but noooo hill is better. Well he is leaving nonetheless so yeah.
