Talk circulating on WA radio this morning that Bradley Hill has met with the Dockers’ leadership group to tell them that he wants out (preferably to a Victorian club).

Kind of strange given he’s a WA boy, but he has certainly had some off-field trouble since the move. Could potentially slot straight back in at the Hawks if a deal can be done.

Surprising? Can you imagine playing in a Ross Lyon team after playing with the Hawks? :$

He's the only bloke who actually runs forward, takes the game off, and tries to push forward. But he's also a bit soft. Still surprised he's actually as good as he is as I expected him to only succeed in a great side. Would be s**t to see him go but no shock – Freo going nowhere, s**t coach, and he's probably realised playing with your brother is great for a season but once you've done it you've done it.

If there is any truth in this, and he does get back to Hawthorn, Cockstain and the rest of the GC decision makers should have a good hard look at what has happened here. Kid wanted to leave, and despite being contracted we let him go. No bridges burnt during his exit, couple of years later, comes back to a place that he knows values its players, and looks after them when they can, even when that means reluctantly saying goodbye when they request a trade.
