People love to get stuck into Eddie because he is the president and calls Collingwood games sometimes.

Yet, Johnson and Mooney are paid employees of the Bulldogs, one is a development coach and the other is classed as a "specialist coach".

Today listening to them go on about some of the Dogs younger players was just painful. If it wasn't for the obsession with NicNat coming on, there just about wouldn't have been a mention of Eagles players in the first two and a bit quarters from either.

Why do they escape the criticism when it's IMHO worse than Eddie?

Is he like Dean Jones and has a secret family in another state [WA] ? He seems to do every Eagles game Fox Footy do.

Balanced out by Dwayne Russell and Gerard Healey constantly talking about the Eagles and the crowd. We wouldn't have got a mention without Johnno or Mooney.

Neither are paid by our club and noone disputes they are both pretty ordinary.

Just can't understand how they are treated, particularly compared to Eddie.

I accept that the media in a particular state has significant slants towards some teams, but this was the calling of a match and not a news report or anything else.

The Doggies aren't a big powerful club so their youngsters and new players don't get much publicity.

It's good to have a couple of blokes who actually know who these Doggies players are and can tell us a bit about them.

Pretty sure you can access national/vic newspapers and media. Show me how to have a different call of the game while watching it.

Haha are you kidding? WB get no press compared to the beloved Eagles, and you complain when there is even a hint of bias in their favour? Go listen to some of the 'Eagles Are Back' news reports flooding the airwaves tonight and the paper tomorrow to feel like the balance has been addressed.

Tend to agree though, don't let Ed do it, don't let the rest do it. In fact, I'm glad Jakovich or Basil (lawwwl) don't do our games.
Good callers though, they generally are pretty good with other games I've watched. Eddie is great, he's my favourite caller - I don't mind saying so either.

Brad Johnson is a terrible commentator regardless of which team he's calling. He almost sounds robotic, like he's processing how to finish a sentence. "The Tigers.... will need to improve on.......their kicking, if they.......want to make the finals". He only adds rubbish, pitiful commentator.

Difference between those two and Eddie is they are former long-time AFL players and have genuine insight. Eddie is no different from your average bigfooty poster once you take out his money and influence.
