And fact is that if I were to say that keith Greig would be embarrassed by your club's current predicament on your board, I'd probably get yellow carded.
Someone posts something that isn't rosy and cuddly about the Roos and guaranteed the mods would be flooded with PMs from sooky boys wanting the ref to get the red card out.
Enjoy the freedom here, because it doesn't happen anywhere else in what I've experienced.

rubbish - that is exactly what im talking about - instead of you being honest - you try and talk him up as being " just less than Wood"

if he was so great he would have forced his way into the side - since he is so mobile and strong - he could have competed for full forward, CHF, third tall, CHB, FB or 3rd defender postion.

if he is slightly less than wood - then clubs would be falling over themselves to attain him - like they are of wood

Moran did force his way into the side...... in round 19, when we were sitting 4th, not in round 1, not when we were loosing, but when we were shaping for finals. He wasnt gifted a game, he earnt it through very good VFL form.... He pushed into a side with a much better ruck combination than Brisbane's, proven this year.

And, buddy its not as if Wood dominated whilst he was playing either? He only managed 8 games as well.

Moran didn't compete for a full forward spot, CHF, third tall, because he isnt one of those, he is a ruckman, hence the reason he was dropped. He played FB on Quinten Lynch, whom I thought he did a pretty good job on.

But, you can realistically only play 2 ruckman, and with Petrie bordering on 6"6, what is his use in the side?

Wood hasnt been traded, despite speculation Collingwood have offered a first round pick, which is just that, speculation. Come back to me and tell me that 3 or 4 clubs have offered up first rounder for him, with a source, and I might beleive you.


I didnt come on here to debate Moran vs Wood, as each have their pro's and con's.

But for Richmonds sake, Moran "seems" a better fit, he may be cheaper even! purely because of his body size, he would be able to ruck 22 rounds no problem, and there would be no risk of him being "rag-dolled" by the bigger blokes.

The debate shouldn't be Moran vs Wood, it should be Moran vs Adam Pattison/Angus Graham/Troy Simmonds, as thats the decision your ultimately going to have to make.

2nd best in the league is debatable...

McIntosh is very good.
Hale is crap.

Off the top of my head,
Port Adelaide (Lade & Brogan)
West Coast (Cox & Seaby)
Geelong (Ottens & King)
Sydney (Everitt & Jolly)
Brisbane (Charman, McDonald, Wood)
would all rival North's ruck division.

Hence my wording "possibly".

You calling Hale crap is laughable. How many of those players could realistically hold down CHF for their respective clubs, and then play second fiddle in the ruck.

1 - And he is alot better than Cameron Wood at the moment.

The only game Hale played as a ruckman, rather than a CHF with brief stints, was against Port in the Preliminary Final in which he moved there after half time, after which he was arguably our best player.

Out-rucking Lade for the majority of the second half, and finishing with 12d/15h too Lade's 11d/19h. And that was against the AA ruckman.

McIntosh and Hale are 22/23 respectively, they have alot of football left in them, and are both proven players, hence the reason Moran isnt playing.

Any of you basing your opinions on Moran purely by the games hes played is just plain rediculous.

If he was playing, he'd either be better at the moment than Hale or McIntosh (which he isnt), in which we wouldnt be talking about second round picks. But Top 10 picks.
