Our Dominant Rucks

I know that it was a dominant win, but a lot of the praise has to go to our ruck division today. Against the, widely acclaimed "best ruck combination in the AFL", Ottens and King dominated the contests, and proved to be great around the ground also. Much credit has to go to Blake too, he has been a big improver throughout the year, but I think the change for King this week was the right one.

To sum it all up, shivers went down my spine when Bradley "Big Mits" Ottens ran down the "superquick" Michael Pettigrew on our foward flank. It just showed the supreme effort that this man-mountain put in for our club.

Thank christ we missed out on Jade Rawlings, thats all i'll say.

What a gun, an absolute gun.
Brad Ottens....what a hero!!!
A couple of sentences can sum the big fella up:
  • Massive, overly-large mitts
  • Faster than Osafa Powell
  • Praying mantas
Otto, you are a superstar

What a star!! Probably Geelongs best player all finals series!! Just goes to show the big fella's got a big heart!!! Lets bear in mind that his 'tackle' came as he was supposedly 'resting' in the forward line after a sensational spell in the ruck!! Amazing effort.

Ottens>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>light years>>>>>>>>>>>J.Rawlings

Proof that we recruit blokes committed to the club. Rawlings was talking about chauffer-driven limos to training, while Ottens wanted to play and live here. Great decision to recruit him, his efforts in the finals series and particularly the preliminary final have played a massive role in Geelong winning a flag. Cat legend already i'd say.

Best chase and holding the ball win by any player all year
All that is missing in that picture is a blue spandex, red underwear worn on the outside, a cape and a big S on his chest. Super Otto! That was probably one of the best chases from a ruckman I've ever seen.
