Congratulations to Brad Scott on becoming the 7th person the coach the North Melbourne Football Club to 100 games.

Denis Pagan 240 (150-0-90)
Wally Carter 208 (96-1-111)
Ron Barassi 198 (129-3-66)
Dean Laidley 149 (72-2-75)
John Kennedy 113 (55-3-55)
Bob McCaskill 102 (43-0-59)
Brad Scott 99 (51-0-48)

It's been an interesting ride that has divided opinion, but hopefully he has some good times ahead. Interestingly on the premiership coaches have a better W/L record.

Going 50/50 during a rebuild isn't a bad effort. What remains to be seen is if he can up our win% to around 70 for a few years which will equate to flag contention

Indeed, just keeping those in check who believe he is some kind of Messiah and coaching genius.
Or another way of looking at it.

Taking the opportunity to have a crack at him again.

It also depends on your definition of treading water. He's contracted, we aren't going to sack him so in essence he's safe.

In terms of team development we are about to really see where we are at in the back half of this season.

Thankfully there's a larger population of idiots outside our supporter base who think we're likely to sack him despite this.

Only two coaches, aside from Scott, on this list with a positive win/loss record.
Pagan's record is just huge.
His Carltank time aside, imagine how his full coaching career stacks up with the North U19's and * Reserves combined with his senior coaching time with North. Over to you Marstermind.

Seniors: 150 wins, 0 draws, 90 losses (62.5%)
Under 19s: 191 wins, 1 draw, 44 losses (81.14%)

Unsure of his record with * reserves other than they won the flag in 1992 - so a fair chance his winning ratio wasn't dented by that season.

So at North his record was 341-1-134 from 476 games (71.74%).

In hindsight he really stuffed up by going to Carlton (other than for the $$$).

Very impressive. And let's not forget that it was in the U19s that Denis did a lot of the capacity building that he was then able to capitalise on later when appointed senior coach.
