if they finish bottom 4 next year he gets sacked

And I could see that happening
Nah even if we finish bottom 4, which is quite possible, it would take something drastic for him to be sacked.

We have gone through a merry-go-round of coaches over the last 10 years and it seems like him, Barham, Vozzo and Rosa are all pretty aligned on their vision so they will almost certainly continue to back in him.

He”ll be cleaning up hardwicks mess for a while .

Yze was stuffed with all the picks traded for Taranto and Hopper. But he's got a free hand now with Bolton, Baker, Graham and Rioli exiting. I believe Tigers recovery would be faster if they get the picks right and he's any good implementing a game plan around them.

Dodoro however has stuffed you in salary cap as well - Duursma, Goldstein, McKay, Gresham. It'll take sometime to undo those 4. You've managed to clear Stringer off the books and starting to focus on first rounders now which is a good start. It'll take at least 2-3 years to rotate the stragglers off the list and free up some cap.

I agree. Essendon did look better last year, and I think there's some understanding of the fact that they might take a short-term loss this year in the form of Stringer, and to a lesser degree, Hind, it's for a longer term gain.

Two years into an eight year plan, on the same page as all the power people, all want to avoid sugar hits that peak at low in the finals at best.

Trade period was very quiet indicating the long term outlook the club now has. That day counter thingy since last finals win is gonna get much larger

The Bombers need to improve drastically next year for Scott to be safe IMHO. It’ll be his third year at the Bombers. He barely shifted the needle this year, winning an extra 1/2 game and improving 4 percentage points, but still well under 100%, and 11th on the ladder both years.

Depends on whether the Sheedy-Dodoro ticket is successful with their board takeover 2025 mid-year…

If we get half way through 2025 and aren’t looking much chop he’ll be in a lot of trouble.

Dons have zero cap space to worry about. We barely hit it.
We've taken first rounders drafting players in, in the last 4 drafts.
Anything else you want to add here to get wrong?

today’s performance was a coach killer for BS
They had 6 teenagers, with 3 players having played less than 5 games in the team tonight.

Durrham is a big out, as is McKay.

I'm not giving them excuses but their ladder position probably belies where they actually belong, which is bottom 4.

They're miles off it but I think the club already knows this, hence giving Scott the extra year to back him in.

If McKay is a big out the list is ****ed.

Our #1 KP defender today was Laverde who at the start of the year was 3rd in the line in the VFLx

Our #2 KP defender today was Blakiston who at the start of the year was a Ruck in the WAFL.

We have been absolutely ****ed on with injuries and we are continuing the turn the list over. Scott and the clubs leadership are aligned on the long term vision about doing it the right way. His position isn’t up for debate from a club perspective but by all means, debate the strategy, injuries etc.

Lets see what Hird is doing in a few more weeks.

Won’t be happening and the lack of action in this thread is very telling as most punters are aware of what essendons plan is (whether you agree with it or not is certainly up for discussion)

Yeah. Undo Dodoro's 20 years. It will take a while. Which makes recruiting McKay baffling. We couldnt be happier though.
