Hawks list guru Graham Wright has denied that dual premiership hero Brad Sewell is on the market.​

"He was never on the table. A couple of clubs brought his name up Monday and then he's in the paper which is disappointing," Wright told Trade New Radio.​

1. A "few clubs" ask the Hawks about trading Brad Sewell but get told he is a required player.
2. At least one official from one of those clubs decides to be a pr!ck and try to cause trouble, so he "leaks" to the media that they had talked about Brad Sewell.
3. The media, desperate for any hint of a news story, runs with the unsubstantiated story that Hawthorn had offered Sewell up for trade.

4. Hawthorn get criticised by know-it-all righteously indignant keyboard warriors!

I think we should trade Sewell for a secound rounder and use that to pick up Dal Santo. Dal Santo is an upgrade on Sewell and will be around for a little longer.

Except Sewell is an in&under mid while NDS is outside run / i think we are good in that department with young guys coming through + current list

We do have Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis and even Burgoyne that can get those clearances and hard ball gets. I just think Sewell is going to be a slider this year.
