I think it is all in the push, pretty sure it happened to Judd or Cousins before as well, quite common a push in the back causes that hyper extension and extra unexpected generated pace.

Umpires have been hot and cold on the push in the back in general play rule. Sometimes gets called sometimes doesn't.

Would like some clarification on that - if they have tried to implement it in order to stop hamstring injuries then fair enough, but it's only getting called half the time

AFL has appointed Eddie Maguire as official umpires advisor for the rest of the finals series.
It is very obvious that he has a greater knowledge than those currently in charge.
There is also a move to rename the competition to the EFL
