I think his point is, looking local could be a little more focused on in the national draft. Don't entirely disagree.

Though, the only one I'd want from that given career unfolding is Jack Darling. And I do find it a little sickening to think of him at fremantle now that he's played for the eagles.
that is exactly the point I was trying to make, not trolling.

"They" were probably thinking the same thing the teams that passed on Matthew Pavlich and Michael Barlow were thinking.

Unfortunately in the Draft you win some and lose some. I reckon we've done fine overall.

Very happy with Sheridan and Crozier, yeah we missed out on Forster but we look to have nailed the first two.

How come you missed the other drafts we were involved in?

Maybe it's because it would make you look like a moron?

Sure, as long as you're happy to hand back half our squad that got us into the GF last year and replace them with WA crabs who've long been delisted.

Or are we just going to cherry pick a couple of examples with the benefit of hindsight and then claim the policy should only apply to those specific cases?

Our record drafting from interstate isn't great, especially from Victoria. Picked a few gooduns over the years, but we have had some outright shockers, especially in the top half of the draft.

Are you aware of the knock on B. Hill prior to the draft?

Yes, he has grown out of it and full credit to him for that, but there was a legitimate reason that he didn't go earlier to us or another club.

It's a shit thread mate, because you just draw on the raw stats/lists to bag out our club without knowing the story.
