News Brady Grey and Tommy Sheridan Re-sign for 2018

It's already been said - Collins is too good for WAFL but not good enough for AFL. His average kicking and lack of pace limits him in the modern game. 20 years ago he would have been a gun fullback. Collins can only play tall and is behind Hamling, Johnson, Logue, Pearce and potentially Cox. The only place he would have played next year is at Peel.

Perhaps keeping Sherro over others is mostly about currency? He was a drafted as a first rounder and as much as everyone says it's not about currency when drafted, it's about currency now, everyone involved in the AFL always seems to reference their original draft value when trying to work out worth for a trade etc. Everyone we have delisted so far was drafted 4th round or as a rookie (except Clarke who was a 3rd round pick). This also supports the ceiling argument, even though most of us have given up on him ever reaching anything close to it.

Don't mind Grey, he deserves the contract, with pressure becoming a big factor and Crozier leaving, it could smell more opportunities. Sheridan extension is poor, at least wait and see if he attracts interest at the trade table first.

It's sad to think Sheridan was a first round pick and should be entering his peak.

Really proud of Brady Grey though, it's like Jeckyl and Hyde those two - one has the talent without the application, the other the application with a limited skillset.

I can see the top of Chris Masten's head when I wear heels, not so for Sheridan. Plus I'd trust Sheridan's finishing for goal a lot more than Masten

He strikes me as your prototypical 2nd level performer but struggles at next level.

yes... ross was experimenting him in last few games and at peel as well... he was ok there..

Sheridan doesn't even have potential.

So what, he can run hard?

Has been tried in about six positions and looked equally lost in all of them. He isn't a good kick, doesn't do smart things. He just takes chest marks and runs from contest to contest – one of those guys who'd chip the ball sideways more than forward.
