Recommitted Brayden Maynard [re-signed until 2029!]

It’s a shame North haven't surpassed the Dogs, Adelaide & Sydney yet. At least they’ve surpassed Collingwood though. Tough decision for Bruzzy to make.

I'd be surprised if he left.

He is just making public noises to shake Collingwood down for every last cent.

That's a consequence of paying a good ordinary player in Perryman ridiculous cash.

Perryman has been very good for us so far this Season

North will need to offer Maynard $1.5m x 6 years to have an even chance of moving there.

He would need to be the highest paid back pocket in the the game.

And he will probably still say “No thanks”.

Reckon LDU is questioning his decision now. Maynard more likely to play for the East Brighton Vampires than that rabble from Arden St
Maynard might get a game for us in 2029. Diabolical.

LDU should thank his lucky stars that we are so bad that contract was on the table. He, like everyone else needs to get better.

I wasn't lippy, I was just of a differing opinion to our lists. Yes we're young and terrible.
Yes you're old and decent (great win btw)

That's it, nothing more to discuss. From our end, Wardlaw got through unscathed, I didn't watch your game as I don't watch/care unless my frauds are running around.

Can't see him going to North unless it is for ridiculous money.
I think the offer from north will be ridiculous. So he’ll have a decision to make. I could see his manager squeezing as much as possible out of the pies. Especially when a player like Perryman comes along on 900k per season.

Collingwood is in such a crummy situation but somewhat of their own making

Darcy Cameron + Maynard will be commanding 1 mill+ a year this off season and so they should given what Harry Perryman got and his output

I think they lose 1 but not both. Gut feel is Cameron comes to WCE for the coinage and Maynard stays loyal and takes a small paycut albeit gets overpaid still

Yes, what a crummy situation to have so many good players that other sides are willing to pay a million dollars a year for to try to wrench them away from a team that is on top of the ladder and premiership favourites.

Certainly a terrible pickle to find ourselves in.

Overpaying for them is a bad pickle to find yourselves in foremost. Maynard isnt worth 800k a year and Cameron isnt worth well over a million either

you aren't watching too many pies games if you think we are relying on Pendles, Sidey and Howe. And Tom Mitchell has hardly played a game since the 2023 GF and may not play again.

This is Naicos's team now with a group of largely 23 - 28yo's.
The average age in your most recently played game was just shy of 29 years old. The players in the coaches votes were Sidebottom (34), Elliot (32), Howe (34) and the Daicos brothers. Sidebottom and Elliot were both in the votes the week before too

I don't think it's unreasonable for people to suggest the Pies are still relying on the older players

no doubt they are playing well but who was captain last game?

I'll cop the extra 2 years he's realistically worth if he brings Pendles with him as an assistant/development coach as reported overnight.
Pendlebury will play on at Collingwood to break Harvey record and when that day happens you will find Maynard and Sidebottom running out with him and that piece of F:cking 💩 Brad Scott standing to the side clapping and with a big 😀 on his face.
Harvey could have played off the bench for 2 more years and got another 30 to 40 games in him.

Why the hell would wce want Cameron? That makes no sense at all.
