I wonder how much extra exposure of playing for a team like Collingwood, would increase a players personal sponsorship.

So many post season functions for pies players after a flag I can only imagine how much they make from it lol. Interesting that outside BT and Bucks there aren't many former pies in the media. I guess when Pendles and Steele refuse to retire there aren't many to fill the ranks!

I think the offer from north will be ridiculous. So he’ll have a decision to make. I could see his manager squeezing as much as possible out of the pies. Especially when a player like Perryman comes along on 900k per season.

Collingwood is in such a crummy situation but somewhat of their own making

Darcy Cameron + Maynard will be commanding 1 mill+ a year this off season and so they should given what Harry Perryman got and his output

I think they lose 1 but not both. Gut feel is Cameron comes to WCE for the coinage and Maynard stays loyal and takes a small paycut albeit gets overpaid still

Maynard is out of contract at the end of this year but Cameron is the end of next year.
Why do we need to find $1M+ for Cameron?
If another club comes for him they will have to pay a high trade price.

Given our list profile (age and number of small/medium defenders) we will offer Maynard a fair contract amount. If someone offers him more and he wants to take it we would probably wish him all the best and thank him for his time at the club. He will be 29 next year so if he wants a final big $$ contract to set him up then good luck to him.

Agree with heritage location, maybe the pies may need to get a two tiered playing surface .
Either way we must be doing something right with our limited facilities, as our grandfather team seem to be going ok
