We won't match North's Offer thoughProbably because he's already won a flag an wants to cash in?
At the very least, it'll make Collingwood up whatever they're offering.

Considering the pies gave basically that exact contract to Perryman don't see why they won't match.
He might as well take it then.We won't match North's Offer though
Definitely seen plodder Perryman come in for big bucks and getting to do nothing, and thought why aren’t I getting paid that. 6 yr 1 mil contract is horror, but he wouldn’t leave for any less. Fair play north at least their going after someone they can actually get

Thankfully we have battle insteadReports said Hawks offered Similar Contract
He would get that at the Pies.I hope we are keen on him. Definitely not for a million a year, but would be happy paying 750k
Blame collingwood for paying similar for Perryman to get him over for freeThe AFL needs to intervene and stop North from doing this.

If I'm 28 and have already won a premiership, and am being offered 1m for 5-6 years... I'm taking the money bro hahaJay Clark reporting on fox footy north offering 6 years at 1 mil - 900k a year.
Thats not enough to get him out surely. Why the **** would he take that to go play for the Roos lol. Play in front of 20k at marvel in a shit team or 80k week in week out with a team primed for a flag?
Know what I would pick.
Agreed. Not too sure how correct these numbers would be but lets just assume the $1 mil is correct
What would be Pies offer to him ? Maybe $700k
They would probably increase a bit to $750k which is $250k less than the offer
take away the tax
Does he really move for $150k or stay a 1 club premiership player
Its the years that would be the thing that would swing him IMO
North will win a flag before the Pies win their next. Pies won't make the 8 this year.Jay Clark reporting on fox footy north offering 6 years at 1 mil - 900k a year.

He barely misses a game. The first of his draft class to get over 200 games. Consistently good. Hard. Passionate. Big leg. Can play tall or small. Not the most productive and hasn't shown anything when not playing defense. If you got some cash he is a good choice. The only issue would be the 6 years. It takes him to 35 which is crazy. They must be willing to from load the he'll out of that contract imo.Because he’s already won a flag, has played fairly consistent finals and may embrace a different type of challenge all the while getting paid 250k+ per season with likely 3 years more guaranteed.
Seems a pretty easy decision to me.
Was a Melbourne supporter.Wouldn't it be ironic if he went to Melbourne.
We match that offer with 3-4 years.I hope we are keen on him. Definitely not for a million a year, but would be happy paying 750k
He wouldn't move for that. We would do 750K and 4 years imo at the Pies. We also extend durable older players so there would be a good chance to get a few 1 year extensions. He is very durable. The 1st of his draft class to get 200 games. We can't match 1 million and 6 years imo.Agreed.
Happy to do $800k x 5. Not sure it will move his dial, but so be it.
Gets him the extra 2 years, more security etc ... is a decent deal for us should he get injured and lose form in year 3 (which is fine by me and pretty much expected)
