The monster was excellent. 2nd gamer, tough conditions. He played well, contributed well. A few blunders but they can be overlooked.
Is he 18/19? I'd like to know how many of his possessions led to scores? This kid will be a very good player for us.

He's only played 2 games but his kicking is excellent. Will be an elite kick at this level.

I remember meeting him when he was a young fella of 8 or 9, he was a bloody tough bastard then as well. He looks like he belongs out there, his first half was excellent. Shame about him blazing away at the end there, but he'll learn from it and become a better player for it.

Looks the goods, good thing about him to is he is a Victorian boy so don't have to worry about the going home factor!
No the doubt the message from the top to him was use your strength, long kicks and being a kid, you can get excited, especially when it close and nearing the end. Forgive a young kid in his second game for that. Reckon he could turn our better than Degoey (who will be a jet as well) has all the tricks, Speed, toughness, can mark & is elusive, bonus to pick up Moore, Degoey & Maynard in this draft.
Just keep playing him now, it would make no sense to drop him now. It's like a sign of panic if we do that. We lost with him in don't drop him now.

I was very impressed by Maynard. He did better at this stage than i thought he could and I have pretty high (ultimate) expectations of him. Has the tools to make it and that deadly boot is one of them.
Very happy with him. Probably went out of the game in the last qtr but he still needs to build his tank.
I like that he looks to the corridor when he kicks, and also he can mark overhead.

We've made a decision to play kids. Play them now. But it was the wrong decision because it's cost us games. There is no going back now the top 4 is gone.
