After watching his highlights reel the things that stood out to me was his kicking penetration and his aggression at the contest, especially his tackling pressure which is something we really needed. Like others here, his attitude thoroughly impresses me.

I'm happy with Dekka and the other recruiters decision to select him at pick 30!

De goey and maynard reminds me of the sidebottom and beams draft years ago. De goey is the sidebottom if this year's draft. People say that de goey is the one who will replace beams,i believe it will be maynard who will be the one to replace beams.


In the year we drafted beams and sidebottom, apparently hine rated beams more than sidebottom. But he knew sidebottom will gone earlier, so he went with sidebottom first and then beams.

In the last two finals for the Dragons he averaged 25 disposals and 11 handball receives, showing a step up in his ability to cover the ground. Across the season for the Dragons he averaged 22 disposals.

Interesting pick. Good overhead, very nice kick, good through traffic and evasive. I'd love to know his possession numbers. Third tall with midfield potential. Reminds me a lot of the Langdon selection last year.
