Player Watch Brayden Maynard

Rumours of players moving can't really be totally ignored. Nor can you say that rumours only occurred because Bucks was in charge and will disappear once he is gone. People don't make up rumours and promote them. Rumours occur and people report them no matter who is coaching the team. Hopefully Maynard is going nowhere.

So the Rumor I heard about Maynard leaving IF Bucks stayed was good chance of being True?

Not happening re Maynard! He is B&W through & through!
But if by some f chance it was to happen, FU Melbourne 2 1sts thanks (2022)

If Bruz leaves I'll cry, my favourite player and my future vice captain. So much heart and passion, absolute animal. Pleeeeease don't leave us!

Hypothetically, if he does want to leave, then this club better squeeze everything out of the Dees. Weideman + Rivers or something
1st round. Preferably top 10. Has to be better than Saad.

Gone.

Can’t blame him. Footy is a business these days.

You only have to look how the club and supporters treated Nathan Buckley to understand why players might just look after themselves. It’s a fickle business footy. He was really close to Bucks and he may not be the last.

Hopefully secure a 2022 1st rounder for him. He’s been really good this year, so price should be a 1st rounder.

Am I missing something.

He's not the first and he certainly won't be the last Collingwood player in that particular boat.

Cox is the most infringed against player in the league - probably of all time.

Big Trav was shockingly treated as well.

Guess that happens when you have a Black and White Jumper.

Most times ball goes close to Cox he should get a Free Kick

I remember that big performance against Richmond when he put them out of the finals.

All the commentators were raving about him and how unstoppable he was going to be.

I immediately got a cold chill and thought to myself - OH OH here we go again.

It's no surprise that the tunneling, blocking and arm swipes started happening directly after that and once they got away with it then they made it a fixture against him.

The umpires are still ignoring it and that can have only one reason.

I saw that Tigers Game more of an Exception instead of the Rule. He has the Odd Games but most games he does not do very much.

Cox gets Held or Arms Chopped just about everytime he goes for the Ball

Scumps hate Collingwood

Total agreement, the AFL have a fixation about bringing exceptional players back to the field and he was just frighteningly good in that game.
So
They did something about it.

He is contracted, no way I would let him go. Two 1sts please Dees end of 2022 if he truly wants to go their.

Where is all of this speculation coming from.

Literally the last player I’d want to lose.

Really? What would we get for this guy? Have to be a frist rounder minimum, but then it's not really worth it, what for a Macrae or a Henry and hope they will be half the player of Maynard?

I think we’re agreeing?

To me he’s our most important player and what you build a football club on. Has been a mainstay in our only consistently performing line, all the while having the support around him dwindle to the point that he’s constantly covering for the Madgen’s and Noble’s of the world.

Doesn’t shirk a contest, has an attacking mentality and can play out of his league against more athletically or genetically gifted players. An absolute bull and someone that you can be assured always leaves everything out there when he goes out.

Absolutely love him and would be a painful loss in both his ability and his passion.

Surely though the order of most painful would be:

1 - Moore
2 - Grundy (factoring in ability, contract and no doubt getting reamed in a trade)
3 - De Goey (barring extreme circumstances or a highly positive trade offer. His ability is a KEY cog of any rejuvenation)
4 - Maynard
5 - Adams (His age and injury prone nature has massively hindered his spot here - also side note Adams kicking post injury is always s***, when he gets a consistent run it improves massively.)

The bonus rating is the ultra worst never ever ever allowed to happen situation:

- Josh requests to go to carlton and Nick doesn't nominate us as a result. Out of all our father sons to date, Daicos is the name synonymous with Collingwood, in addition i feel Peter is one of the bigger post-player supporters too (and an absolute legend of a bloke too)

In the event this doomsday scenario with the Daicos clan played out, we would need to storm Vic Park, claim ownership of it and start a new club called Colin Would Madge pies.
...We would wear black and white prison bars to highlight our creation, so the irony of if port let us would be hilarious.

Moore’s more injury prone and Maynard ranks above everyone else on that list you provided.

Interestingly though, Crisp is one I could mount an argument for to be in the same group as Moore and Maynard. Elliott potentially too injury permitting
