What a crock! There aren't too many players on our list that weren't "Hine picks" yet you think the club will vindictively treat this guy differently.
you're missing the point. he was a speculative pick. came from nowhere. its in hine's interest to make sure he gets time to see he works out. if not hine looks stupid drafting an unknown kid at that pick. if hine goes that investment diminishes. that's my opinion anyway.

Yeah.... Nah.

If he's let go at the end of 2017, it'll have absolutely zero to do with investment... Well that's my opinion anyway.

Adams Matheison Silvagni (bid) Mitch Brown (handy KPP depth) Bonner.

I'm still trying to work out why we took a vanilla inside mid as a project when they're a dime a dozen in the draft
Silvangi was always going to be a Blue whilst Mitch Brown is not a long term proposition and no better than the players we have.

Will happily watch the other three and see how they compare to Sier. I assumed you were calling these names at the time of the draft

There were a lot calling for Matheson from memory. He was one of the big sliders. Bonner too.

Pic has been posted elsewhere, but holy moly, can't say that Sier is a fatty anymore. Kid looks like an absolute animal now!
He was always a big boy and touted as a long term project but his body certainly looks much more AFL ready now. Hopefully he has had the same gains aerobic wise as that was a real weakness of his.

Let's hope we have another Swan on our hands.

Picked to early, a slow burn, but bloody awesome in five to six years.
He certainly looks fit, let's hope he gets to play plenty of football next season and can start to show signs of just what the recruiters saw in him. The fact that quite a few people around here have written him off already as a waste of a draft pick is one of the sillier things I've seen on BF in recent times!

Maybe that why Sier did not play 2nd Half of the Season. We where getting his Body to be AFL Ready for this year?

The thing with Sier is he will either make it or he won't, it's not a waste of a pick if you knew it was a gamble up front. He is a project player and should be considered a high risk vs return scenario. Let the kid develop and see before judging, he will take time but at the end of this year we should be in a better position to make a call.

Patience one of the cheapest things in life, but often the least used
