Yeh to be honest I can't remember getting more than about 10 possessions in a game.
Assuming I've done this correctly (adding Kicks Effective, Kicks Ineffective, Handballs Effective, Handballs Ineffective = Total Disposals) here are his disposals figures from the 8 VFL games he played in 2016:-
15

8

A few quiet games there, but just as many where he (at least looking at those figures) seems to have made a reasonable contribution. I'm not sure what happened in his last game, perhaps he got injured, but it was his first appearance in about 7 weeks.

Concussion early in the second quarter, sat out the rest of the game.

Thanks mate, I remembered that he was concussed at some stage, I had an idea that it might have been at training.
Easy to do. He injured himself a couple of times away from the field. Busted his hand mid-year, hence the 6-7 week absence, and hurt his back in the gym a couple of weeks after suffering the concussion.

So poor year like 16 and he gets delisted? Could happen.
It's one of those industries, where if you don't perform someone will. He is a project player but if he doesn't deliver he doesn't stick around long term, most of which will be decided by the coaching staff and not people on this forum. He has to earn the right to play, let's hope he does rather than does not. Get behind the kid, if he doesn't make it, he doesn't make it. It was an educated gamble.

We have to give a kid of his age and development and bad luck with injuries the benefit of the doubt.
There are a number of incidents were kids at his status have had rapid improvement.
Yes he can be a dud but he also with a bit of luck can be a gun! Examples of rapid improvement is even Heath Shaw he didnt get a crack in the seniors if i am not mistaken until his 3rd year, or was it his 2nd?
Tim English who is a projected 10 or 15 pick this year in the draft as a 20 year old. I heard last year us and a couple of other clubs looked at getting him as a rookie! We should have picked him up Derrick! Look at his rapid inprovement one year in the wafl!

English didn't nominate for the draft last year. Collingwood was one of the clubs who were trying to get him to nominate so they could select him.

According to Waldron on sen we could have picked him up as a rookie.
Waldron is wrong. English never played colts in 2015, which was a prerequisite to nominate for the draft. He was convinced by his teacher, who also happened to be a Collingwood scout, to sign up at Claremont 2 weeks before the end of the season but his registration was rejected on a technicality, therefore he couldn't play colts or nominate for the draft.

Let's not pump him up too much then because the odds of him debuting early are slim.

Has the role Sier was drafted to play changed in peoples view in the last 12 months?
Yes. He's now no longer suited to the role of token fatboy. His new role is undecided. He may become the token used to abuse our drafting. Alternatively, I have high hopes of him looking impressive and becoming a token of unrealistic expectations.

I'm more than happy for him to be not best 22 and struggle to get a game in 2017. Its basically his first season at the club, in 2016 he was more like the work experience kid.

Doesnt mean he wont make it though. He just needs a solid year in the VFL to show he has something for the club to work with. Hopefully a senior game or two as well.

Not in the best 22 and will struggle to get a game.
You state this with absolute certainty. Maybe you could post a list of the players who will never make our best 22, and then you wouldn't have to keep repeating yourself. We could all just refer to it from time to time, to reacquaint ourselves with your certainty.

Seriously TG, how can you enjoy following the club if it's as bad as this for you.:(

I think he just enjoys trying to make everyone as miserable as he is.

I thought, or at least hoped, that TG was joking about the blob picture.
