Yeah I'd say that's fair. He's had a debut season. It was this year. Pointless arguing semantics. He's a 1 season player, it was this year. Simples.
Yeah, he's had a debut season, that season is now over, this all came about because I said I don't bag first year players, which I don't, some douche try'd to throw that in my face using "facts" lol.

I think it's too soon to tell with Sier. Showed some promise after a slow start then got struck down. Will need another full season without a long lay off to get a better appreciation of what he brings.

A first year doesn't include the tiny part of the year they're drafted anymore than a grade 6 bring accepted into a high school late in the year makes them a 2nd year high school student in year 7.
A favourite trick of schools at the end of the year was to put students up a level 2 weeks before the end of the school year. Different teachers and a new subject or two, and the students are meant to feel that they have a head start on the next school year. But in reality it's just another attempt at keeping the kids at school during those wearing final weeks when everyone, but the school calendar, knows that it's all dusted and done. Not much in common with your scenario really. Just an aside. o_O

Fact is, Jackcass doesn't like me, if I wasn't the leader of the SadSacks during the great Lollipop wars on Nicks of 2014-15 I was a very high ranking official, dude just can't let it go.

Bob is never wrong, feel free to go over my posts on Nicks, usernames Defender and Bob Sugar, 7 years of data.

I'm with you Frank Gallagher. Sier's in the midst of his second pre-season. That means his 2nd year kicked off in November it shouldn't be a difficult concept to grasp lol! The opposing view makes as much sense as saying he was bottom age when drafted :drunk:

Hardly surprising! Cricket seasons run across years in Australia, this season is 2016-17. Footy seasons run on calendar years, hence 2016 is year 1. So bottom aged Sier is in his first year until December 31st. Be sure to enjoy your coal this yuletide.

I think it is much discussion about nothing. In what way will when he 'officially' starts his second year have on how he performs next year? None.

Thread has been highjacked by a nothing argument. Move on.

It's a tedious, pointless argument anyway. We all know what point Sier is at since he was drafted. Whether he's classed as first or second year at this point, it's futile trying to make a judgement on his progression as a player until he actually gets back out on the park.

A highly unusual occurrence! At least this nothing argument was on-topic though.

What I really want to know is why they have stopped calling Pluto a planet? I think it's just plain wrong!

Yep which is why I didn't quote anyone initially to try and avoid the snarkiness from one party, but alas. Hopefully he's getting smashed in close door running sessions to build that tank!

I thought they'd re-classified it as a planet again?

....

After a quick google search, it seems that Pluto is still classed as a dwarf planet, but there is debate amongst the scientific community as to whether it should regain its full planetary status given its interactions with solar winds.

Fascinating stuff.
