Does anybody know the breakdown of ticket allocations for the Prelim and Grand Final at the MCG?

Eg, MCC, AFL Members, club members, series tickets, corporate, etc.....

Prelim

"Yesterday, members of the two competing clubs snapped up their allocation of 38,000 tickets, while a small release of MCC members' guest passes were all sold. The members reserve holds 22,000 people and MCC officials are expecting the area to be full on Friday night."

38K Members = 19k Each
22K for MCC
15 for AFL members

Rest would be GA/Corporate seats.

From the Addy:

If Geelong makes it through to the last Saturday in September, Cats members will have access to about 10,000-11,000 tickets if they play Port Adelaide, and 12,000-13,000 if they face the Kangaroos.

``We have 24,000 (members) eligible for a ticket so either way our members will have about a 40 per cent of getting a ticket,'' Fox said.
I thought we only had a 30% chance of getting one.

Some memberships, such as country and interstate, count in the official membership tally, but don't have finals ticket entitlements. If all our members were eligible, then it would be about a 30% break, but because about 8,000 less are, then that percentage figure is increased.

Correct.

Bit unfortunate that the members don't get more tickets.

Just to clarify that, country and interstate members do have finals ticket entitlement to all finals Geelong play except the GF.

Unfortunately I am only an Country/interstate member so I cannot attend the GF, but I will be there Friday night. Yes I was a Townsvillian until just recently. Now I am freezing my ass off in Ballarat.

When you take into account that there are about 2500 September and Social Club Memberships (who get guaranteed GF tickets), that leaves about 21,500 members, assuming everyone registers.

Which means that depending on who we would face, our chances would be

Port - about 37%
North - about 46%

So go Roos!
