Good evening all, and welcome. I'd like to thank you all for coming at such short notice. I will firstly read a short prepared statement, and then take questions.
STATEMENT
With the East Side Hawks season culminating in last weekends loss to the Las Vegas Bears, I thought it the right time to address my future. It has been a difficult decision, and not one I have taken lightly.
Firstly, to the East Side Hawks as a club. You are a terrific bunch of blokes, an absolute honour to have shared the Qooty field with you fellas. Unlike some clubs, there was never any issues with egos, silly feuds or manufactured dramas. You made my entry into the Sweet FA a superb experience. Extremely supportive and patient with a new recruit entering the league.
To the Captains The Filth Wizard and Mr Eagle, thanks for your support. Both in the match threads and the team thread. GN80, to be offered a beer the first day I joined the club was sensational, never change. Larrikin, Loonerty, Brahj, all of you blokes, thank you. Brahj, Agent93 and Mr Eagle in particular, I have really learnt a lot and enjoyed your match thread posting. Really dry, left of centre stuff. I have probably pared back a bit after watching you blokes. Even though I mightn't have asked questions, I was listening.
But all good things must come to an end. Today I am leaving the East Side Hawks. I look forward to a few beers at the B&F and wish you every success in the future.
So without further ado, I hereby announce that as from next season, I will be playing for the Mt Buller Demons.

EJW, why leave the Hawks? You had a great position for a rookie, you seemed happy there?
I was happy there. And yes, I was extremely well looked after in my rookie season. I thank the Hawks for that. It wasn't an easy decision to leave I can tell you. It actually all goes back to the Tigers board believe it or not.
Can you elaborate further?
Well, it goes back to Werewolf. I started playing on the Tigers board, and it was a lot of fun. A few blokes over there were talking about this strange thing called Sweet FA, and I ignored it. But RodneyDangerfield said they have WW over there, and how much tougher it was, and that I'd enjoy it. So I took a look.
So why not go to the Demons last season then?
That's a good question. Originally, I think I was going to. But I got talking to TFW and we had a bit in common. Wine, Luton Town FC, and it just sort of morphed from there. I ended up a Hawk. Also, BRAB seemed to think it would be a good idea at the time, so I listened to his input about the strengths of various teams.
Why move now?
I think as the season wore on, I gravitated to certain posters, and Rodney as certainly one of them.
I sort of feel it would be right to play on the same side as Rodney, he brought me across to the Sweet FA in the first place. Also, there seems to have been a fair bit of upheaval this season at Mt Buller. RU, Azarole, BRAB, Fryer Tuck and more won't be there. I see it as an opportunity to be part of the reset of the club, and I can't wait to get started.
Were you offered any inducements to move? Have you been given any assurances?
No and No. Truth be told, I approached Rodney about where he was playing next year, and it went from there. I will fight for a spot in the side, and have no idea off the LG's plans as to how they use me going forward. I have spoken to a couple of guys, and as I said, I just can't wait to get started.
