Pearce from Port only took 2-3 weeks to come back from appendicitis so if this is true he should be ok for the finals, unless of course there are complications

Hope he's spared the finger up the bum treatment.

On second thoughts . . . I hope the doctor is an ex-ruckman with a huge first. :D

When I had mine removed I reckon that everybody in the hospital had their finger up my jaxie. Doctors, nurses, patients, cleaners-the lot.

One bloke said that I was "Very tense" "Yeah well, you lay down on the bloody gurney and let me have a go and we'll see how relaxed you are."

As Choco stated ...
They have been a magnificent side," said Williams of Geelong which yesterday extended its winning sequence to 15 by beating the Kangaroos by 27 points at the Telstra Dome shortly after Port's staggering victory against the Hawks.

<snip>

"You think you've got it right. But there will be a lot of questions going through the Geelong peoples' heads.

"They have a leadership group rolling out a way to glory. They have Cam Mooney who will stick up for anyone - he's one hit away from being reported. That stuff can happen. An injury here, or there. We had (full back) Stephen Paxman get a knee injury in Round 22 one year; (defender) Darryl Wakelin have his face smashed in Round 20. These things happen and derail a finals campaign.
First piece of the puzzle ?

The worst bit will be the doctor checking his "back passage" as they put it.

Back in 2 - 3 weeks a little bit tender, he will probably cop many sneaky gut punches on return.

How he recovers well, i guess this allows possibly both Playfair and Gardiner in, and if he misses too many matches then Rooke will be back quicker then expected.

Choco wishing injuries on people?

These are glorified pratice matches we are playing in V Port and Lions. Get some rest Jimmy the real season starts in 2 weeks.
Thats what we probably thought in 2002.

No Choco aint wishing injuries, but was planting the seed.

It is funny to see all the opposition fans starting to predict the end of Geelong for 2007, very amusing indeed.
