"Due to the growing concerns over our clubs depleted Ruck division, following the delisting of players Fanning,C.Cloke,Hall & more recently Walker, the Collingwood Football Club has taken action.

Beanpole ruckman Guy Richards has been struugling to get onto the park due to a constant battle with injuires. But we are pleased to announce that his injury days are now a thing of the past.

Here at the Lexus Centre, we are always the frontrunners in innovation & this step is going to take the league by storm.

We have taken the drastic step of changing his living environment & we are confident this will be the making of Guy Richards, into the AFL's premier ruckman.

As you all know, we are currently slogging it out @ High Altitude Training in Arizona, but little did you know that Guy arrived back in Melbourne last night, ready to move into his state of the art living quarters.

I thought it was a laugh as well , seriously the guy is very lucky to be on our list. I think the coaching staff overrate him he had a good run with injuries for the 1st half of the season yet played like ********, then coincedently just after he plays a few rounds in the magoos (and still being beaten) along comes an injury ..... very suss!!

He was the icing on the cake in the Tarrant trade, we got the draft pick we were after & Medhurst will be in our best 22 if he remains injury free.

Im tipping he will kick between 35 & 50 goals for the year

I have always been a fan of Medders, even when he was a Docker. He has that X Factor, capable of doing the miraculous on his day.

And Yes,he has been inconsistent for Freo, but playing the position he does( Half Forward/Pocket) you are gonna have up & down days.

You could say we got rid of one inconsistent player & picked up another, but the jewel in the crown was Pick number 8, who will hopefully be a 15 year player for the club.

Bottom line is, I am happy to be on the Medhurst Band Wagon & let me say, it is gonna be one hell of a ride

Just curious. In my experience, it takes time for players from other clubs to be embraced by supporters, so I was wondering why he chose a previously maligned player from Freo over other Collingwood players. He answered the question, no harm done. Thanks for your interest though.

Thats cool Blue Boy, of course the usual suspects of Bucks, Didak & co are common so thought I would go wider & select someone different.

He has been given the opportunity @ his 2nd club & the ball is in his court.

We all know he has the ability, now he has to put in the hard yards during pre season & transform that into consistent, AFL footy.

I'm on the Medhurst wagon, only so far as that we don't need him to kick 50 goals for us, but if we can get 30-40 from him, he will have earned his keep.

I mean, he's probably going to play essentially the exact same role that Blake Caracella played for us, and I think that should suit him.
