If we get picks 3 and 8 in this years National Draft, then that would be a good result.

Next I would trade kosi for picks 6 and 11.

But first, I would make sure we tank the rest of the season and not win another game. End up with 4 wins which would give us picks 2 and 4.

Overall our gains would be......

National Draft picks 2,3,4,6,11.
Massive amount of salary cap relief.

Overall losses would be........
A flawed champion...(can't kick for goal)
Potential champion who is injury prone/riddled.

And the group of Dal Santo, Ball, Hayes, Gram, Montagna, X Clarke and Goddard will have been wasted. I think the only flawed thing with our goal kicking is we rely too much on too few.

And Kosi will be better than his best over the next few years... he is already showing signs he'll make the next step... And he can be impossible to match up on.

You wouldn't get that much for Kosi ATM, and even if you didn't win a game you wouldn't get pick 2 and 4, only pick 2

Wrong, (I think).....eg If you are the only team to win 4 games or less you get a priority pick before round 1. If you win 5 you get a priority pick at the end of round 1.

So for example if Richmond ends up on 10 points and St.kilda end up with 16 points then the order in the National Draft would.....

Pick 1....Richmond (Priority Pick)
Pick 2....St.kilda (Priority Pick)
Pick 3....Richmond
Pick 4....St.kilda
Pick 5....Team that finishes 14th
Pick 6....Team that finishes 13th
so on and so on.

Firstly, you would not get two first-round picks for Kosi, let a alone two from the first dozen! I would think you would get ONE first-round no doubt. However, i dont think we should trade him. How old is he...about 25? So hes not a spent force at all. He has played some great games in the ruck this year (esp. against Geelong)....he and Gardiner if/when gets fit could form a very strong Ruck duo.

Secondly, dont let go of Riewoldt. You do not trade champions...let alone a champion that is still only in his mid-twenties! Yes, he has been dissapointing in front of goal this year and last year...but that is a skill that can be improved in time - look at how well Stewart Leowe was able to improve his goal kicking in his last 6 or 7 seasons?

What im saying is, superstars like Nick Riewoldt dont grow on trees (he is one of maybe about 4 or 5 elite CHF's in the comp?)...even if u got picks 3 and 8 in the draft that wouldnt guarantee you one player of the quality of Rooey let alone two. Its very, very hard to get a super CHF like we have...so you must hang on to him! There are prolly 14 other clubs in the league that wish they had a CHF of Rooey's ilk in their side....

Fingers crossed he signs up soon. And Dal too.

Spot on. Kosi's shown that hes more than capable in the ruck...hes really improved his ruck work. Also, people dont realise how bad that injury he sustained last year really was.

The midfielders/small fwd's need to really step up and push fwd and kick goals. We're suffering because opposing defences are being able to zone-off onto Rooey and G because they know thats where we get all our goals from.

Hey Coughlan you dumbo, did you actually read my post? Five wins priority, at end of first round. Four wins, priority before first round.

I know the rule changed last year. The above is what I think it has changed to!!!!!

You're still wrong:thumbsu:
You only get priority before the first round if it is two years in a row, trust me, I would love if it hadn't of changed with the position my team is on the ladder
