Fev no chance to rejoin the AFL after last night. Headlines due any minute now...
Theres also a cop that vouches for him and says he walked away as soon as the confrontation began

Worst bit is isn't he supposed to be on medication that means he doesn't drink? I think he probably handled himself pretty well in the situation, it being a mad sunday for the Casey boys, but all the same, if he's not doing absolutely everything he can to get drafted, then we certainly shouldn't consider it.

The power forward we need is right under our noses! Get the deal done Dees with a 1 year deal.

Give the great man one last chance. He'll come cheap, give him a clause on his contract and keep him on that anti alcohol pills. He looks fit and if he's serious about a return he should be comming to the club and asking if he can train with us and commit to the hard work to prove he's hungry for it.

It was reported on the radio that he is interested in going to Hawthorn, Collingwood, Sydney and Footscray. Melbourne wasn't on his list.

I think you or they misreported that, he said he would be a good fit for a side in its premiership window, but that was just common sense, its not like melbournes gonna offer him a 2 yr deal and hes gonna say 'no thanks guys ill try my luck at geelong and collingwood'

Make him start training with us today, and if he is still training hard come the preseason draft and rookie draft... take a punt on him.

Just repeating what I heard on MMM. Plus the Bulldogs premiership window is no longer.

I reckon he is what we need in the forward line. Put a shitload of conditions on his contract and if he stuffs up he's out the door, with no severance.

Conditions
1. Every time you drink you have to step into the boxing ring with Brent Moloney
2. Every time you dont drink you have to step into the boxing ring with Cale Morton

You cant really call him a pathetic loser....So what if he has had a few chances, he has obviously shown that he wants it and that he is working through his issues. As heartbeat said one year deal. How can we lose out, we cant.....Give him a crack....

Dont think Fev is an any position to nominate a club he would be a 'good fit' for.
If we took him say as a mature aged rookie sure he would jump at the chance!

Fevola will become another Aker. If the club pays him peanuts, he'll want to continue his media commitments, and his stupidity will become a distraction to the club.

I'm 100% sure that we won't touch him.

Hadn't thought of that myself but that is an excellent point.

I was actually marginally in favour until Casey's last game, where a quiet run saw him sulk, pout, and finally clothesline a bloke in the middle (how many weeks did he get for that). It was an ugly day, pretty much undid all the good work he did before that.

Obviously it will be difficult to trade for a key forward (if they were any good, they wouldn't be on the table), but I would be happy with a genuinely big scrub for a year if coach feels it would help our structure (ie Setanta, J. White).

Might sound stupid, but i would have fev at Melbourne.. Get a young key forward and have Fev mentor him?

I don't even know why this is being discussed. It is not an option. He should grab a Gridiron and start trying to barrel that ball 70 yards.

It is time the AFL teams show that you can't have 17 chances for acting like you are a God when all you are is a little boy who can't control your booze or punting. You had your opportunity, now go down to your local centrelink agency and take a number.

I love it how because Fev is an ex AFL footballer means he can mentor young players. Surely being a mentor would involve some sort of role model behaviour, in which case....Rob Brough says, "Beow Beowwww"

Yep look at the best mentors in football.

Guys like Jeans and Hafey (average VFL footballers) make good mentors. McCartney talked up by Geelong players and all those who have played under him. Guys who were not stars and had to do everything right from the start to get a chance.

Very rare that mentors are guys who football came easy to. Add to that the selfish personality and being a ******** and its amazing that Fevola reaching 30 now gets the word 'mentor' used in same sentence as himself.

P.S Does anyone have a snapshot of Leigh Matthews face when Warwick Capper said that he should be asked to come down to Brisbane to help the young players?

What are we going to lose if we pick up fev?
I can't see it being a bad idea... He Will take the best defender allowing our other forwards time to muture there confidents.
