That's how some people deal with depression as they feel lost and keep very private and hide away from everyone until they feel happy enough and ready to seek help or even get out the house. I had depression as a teenager after watching my dad die and winning state and national title's after he died didn't make me happy as I had anger. seems like to me he is lost as a person struggling while being indecisive in life maybe etc etc. Have to let people deal with things in there own way as it's a complicated health issue to over come if you don't have the mind set to keep fighting day by day just to feel happy again and not feel stressed out, angry with the world but mainly being angry blaming your self for everything. Some People who have depression put on a happy act on infront of people all the time just to pretend that they are happy so that others don't know what's going on.
That can be true. If that is what is going on though not sure why the club decided to delist him and not just say take a break for a while. If you still feel the same in 6 months etc then we will delist. I mean we are going to the draft with pick 100 etc. Its not like it matters if we carry a rookie who may not come back.
He may have told the club that he quits and forced our hand though.
Also people like to throw out the word depression a lot these days but its not like cancer where you either have it or you don't. There is a HUGE variety in what that can actually mean to someone. He might be in a terrible state or he may just be feeling lonely and a bit down. If what people are saying is true it still doesn't give us much of an insight in to what he is thinking.
Anyway not sure why people are getting worked up over this. Abbott did what he felt he needed to do. Just because that didn't align with what some people here want doesn't give you the right to be angry at him or the club. Not everyone really wants to be a footballer as shocking as that may seem.
