If both players were available on the free market, who would you go for?

Goddard can play almost anywhere, Judd is more specialized in his position.

Right now, who is the better player.

is it who would you take or who is the better player right now???

if i had to chose i would pick Goddard to play for hawthorn but.....

If Judd played for St.Kilder i would say he would be there best player (besides roo).

soo best ATM is Judd.
but Goddard will probably be the more important player.

Early in their careers would have been Judd by a mile, but he isn't quite the same player he was at West Coast.

So Goddard right now, just, because he's got a better kick and is more versatile than Judd. Both still top 10 players in the comp though.

Goddard, great kick and dual sided good overhead and is pivotal in a sides success.
Judd finds space in the hardest part of the ground too, and hes the best at it, has a good skill set and although isn't a goddard kick can still penetrate i50.

I'd probably take Goddard just for what he offers but we've got a few poorman versions
Judds just brilliant but.

We need a consistent inside mid (though judd can also play outside) that can win the ball and handle a tag more often than not, so I'd take Judd.

Individually though, I rate Goddard as a better player.

Goddard. Easily IMO.

Judd might very well be a good player, but when the heat is on he folds - Goddard is a far, far better player.
I would agree Goddard is the better player atm, but this statement is laughable, in fact I don't know if you watch football, when the heat is on that's generally when the captain stands up and drags his side across the line....and a 'far, far better player' is a bit of an overstatement, your team would need Judd more so than Goddard

Really? We have the anti-Judd in Welsh.

Goddard is a far superior player.

And yes, I'll use the word 'far' again.

Goddard, is a FAR superior player to Judd.

judd for me, not as good as he was but he's a better player than goddard, find goddard a tad overrated TBH.

not the best poll though, a better one wouldve been goddard V hodge, similar types.

Goddard is the best player in the AFL at the moment so I'd say him.

Judd is a better fit for Carlton though.

Judd was no 1
then Ablett took it over and now Goddard is getting very close to Ablett.

Goddards finals series was excellent and made people sit up and take notice.

funny all 3 of these players have played wonderful in finals.

I'd take Judd.

What I don't get about Goddard is the amount of times he handballs for such a beautiful long kick. He had 30 disposals in the GF replay, 12 kicks and 18 handballs. Why Lord, why?
