I read in The Age today that Brent Hall will make his debut this weekend to help out David Fanning in the ruck?!?

Do you think it will happen?? or is it just The Age going on about nothing again?

It'll be a VFL extraordinare ruck dual on Friday, as the Bummers bring in a bloke called Nash.

I'm looking forward to Nash on Fanny!!

Expect Fanning, Hall, Cartledge and Bradley to put on a ruck display that even Sam Newman would be proud of..........on second thoughts maybe not.

I am not against the debut of Hall but it must be hard for the other pies playing at Willy, they are supposed to believe that hard work and good form at Willy will get you through. But due to injury Hall gets a game, who while may be showing a bit at Willy, before the likes of B.Shaw, H.Shaw, Yakka and Davies.
Anyway good luck to Hall if he does get the gig, its a good time to see how he handles himself. And I look forward to Nash vs. Hall (for all the wrestling fans).

Nash is only a half back flanker....... Hall to Nash on game day "Hey you, little Nashy get inside my Belly" (Brent uses the voice of Fat Bastard)

whats the story on Hall? has he got skills, pace ,a bit of $hit in him?
Hally has shown jack******** at Williamstown this year, but I guess that's good enough to play for Collingwood.

I do wish Brent the best this week, and hopefully he can show signs of improvement. :)

Brent Hall hasn't shown much form (apart from keeping a Willy senior spot) but he has shown glimpses.
Maxwell was never too good at Willy.

I'm 110% certain that by the end of 2005, Tom Davidson will have at least one senior AFL game under his belt.

I hope Hall debuts, just so I can expect something at the game from one of those spectator perspectives. Even if i dislike him getting a game through form, as he is our only other ruck option, That doesn't mean I won't be cheering for him, as I always do to the young blokes.

Be the worst ruckman on the ground for a long time

Fanning and Hall vs Cartledge :D

Good luck to him.

At this point we have to look towards 2006. We have to play the Shaw's, Davidson etc to see if they are up to it.

That's an interesting point, although Max was at least more apt at winning the ball, albeit not prolifically.

Hall is outstanding below his knees. He's not unintelligent footywise, although he makes 19 year old decisions and I think he's still soft. I still think his best position will be in the ruck, but we really need a propper ruck coach to help him out.

Hopefully he plays and gets game time, as it's better to weigh up their potential against a more familiar setting.

Peter Moore is back, why not get him to show the young kids how to ruck?

Not sure he was much of a ruck technician. Not sure I've forgiven him either. You know the saying. If you used to barrack for Collingwood you never did. Along those lines if you crap in the nest .....

I always though maxwell looked good at VFL level myself but so did Cranage. As for Hall, frankly I'm sick of ruckman who can run adn pick the ball up off the deck. I want a ruckman who can RUCK!

Get Monkey to the club. Better ruckman and more a Collingwood man than Peter "Traitor" Moore ever was.
