McAffer should come in regardless. If not for Thomas, he should come in for Toovey. If Thomas doesnt come up I'd give Toovey a reprieve. Personally I'd rest Thomas if there was the slightest doubt about his fitness.

no deadline to elevate rookies, only deadline is to put people on the long term injury list. Hence Rusling went on it the other week and he got injured in rd 1
