Deledio slightly as he has been far more consistent over his career. That said if Griffen can back up his year, next year i could see my vote switching. Both great players though.

IMO Deledio will be as highly rated as Goddard in a couple of years time if or when Richmond become a good team. Will mean more exposure and recognition of his talents. Both of them have very similar attributes and are very similar players. Don't think Deledio gets the credit because of the fact he has had to do it tough in a crap Richmond side for so many years getting most of the attention. Griffen has had it much easier in the Dogs side littered with stars.

Deledio is the better player at the moment even taking in that fact and as I said, watch people come out of the woodwork in the next couple years ranking amongst the best players in the comp if/when Richmond become a good side. Will be a superstar if not already, criminally underrated. Taking nothing away from Griffen though, he is a very, very good player.

By the way, pretty sure this comparision has been done before. Just can't find the exact thread.

Griffen chops up teams that offer nothing case in point BNE at the weekend. Then fails to fire against the better sides when his defensive side gets exposed.

Deledio for me.

Pretty silly comment. Griff has games where he can struggle with tags I'll give you that and probably hasn't received the same attention week in week out as Delidio but he isn't a downhill skier. He's a very damaging player because he not only breaks the lines and provides run the majority of his possessions are kicks and his efficiency is quite good.

Has been one of our best performed in finals games.

How do you explain his finals performances then? Has been in our best in nearly every final he has played. Even when we were horrible in our final against Hawthorn in 08 he was our best player. Its a myth repeatedly spewed out by people like yourself who either don't ever watch the dogs play or have no idea what they are talking about

Griff. Surely has shaken the downhill skier tag now. Two finals, close to two best on grounds. All with pain injections to his knee. Read it and weep.
