Both guns and different type players. But just curious from rival supporters who would you rather in your team and why out of the two ?

Deledio is a gun midfielder that has a great future a head of him. Franklin looks like he could be an exiting Forward in the years to come. I would take Deledio because as West Coast has shown you can win a Premiership on a gun midfield and a weaker Backline and Forward Line.

Both are going to be stars based on what they have done so far and how they have improved. As with all youngsters, time will tell. For now, enjoy their talent on the field.

Franlin by a long.long, long way as he will be a gun...Delidio get to many easy kicks on his own out on the wing to flatter him and still his stats are not impressive
Easy kicks on the wing?

Then why did you bother to put a hard tag on him?

This poll is insane, first Tambling vs Franklin now Deledio too?? I know he's your ONE AND ONLY good young player Hawthorn but give it a rest we've got a whole team of future stars.

Polo >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Franklin

And yes Polo can beat Franklin just like he'll beat Adam Goodes this week.

Although i said he gets easy kicks he is still a good young player and can find alot of the ball if left alone which is why u need to tag him...if his getting alot of it alone on the wing his next kick is down the throat of Richo.

dony get me wrong Delidio is a good player and i would love him at the Blues but a feel he is a little over-rated by Tigers supporters from what i have sene anyway

In an attempt to take the focus from Tambling, I know you Richmond supporters like to insult Roughead, but he'd be a walk up start at Richmond.
So would Lewis and Birchall.

For those of you who are uninitiated, this is where Richmond supporters pipe up and tell us how 'Polo tore Buddy a new one' in a VFL game a year ago.
But of course they neglect to mention the reason Buddy was playing VFL was that he was coming back from an ankle injury.

And look, now Polo is going to beat Adam Goodes, a two-time brownlow medalist.

I'd take Franklin. Every club has a "gun midfielder" or two (well, maybe not every club, but most of them) but "gun key forwards" are in much shorter supply.

I guess I reckon that unless the player in question is a midfielder of the most elite standard (talking Judd/Kerr/West/Goodes kind of players, Deledio clearly isn't at this standard) then generally speaking a gun KPP outvalues a gun midfielder.

I don't know why but interstate supporters on BigFooty are always such better posters.

:thumbsu:

Any Richmond fan saying Deledio is better than Franklin, is a lier or a moron. Actually are we surprised that most Richmond fans would then have this opinion, given they are mostly all morons by virture of the club they support.;)

It's only one game, but Deledio looked totally lost on Sunday. He does not like the heavily contested stuff - prefers to run free on the end of a handball. :)

As long as Terry continues to waste him on the Half Back Flank, hes going to continue to look like that, when you've got Raines, Newman and Bowden all starting up the attack from Half Back, whos going to pass to Deledio unless hes in the middle?

However he will look like a different player when hes released into the middle, back to his 05 form i believe. He needs to be given more responsibility, i dont agree with hiding all our players somewhere.

Love Buddy, but since they are two different players its hard to compare.

Actually, i would love to see Buddy have a go in the midfield, he certainley has the speed to do it, and his size would make him an annoyance to opposition players. Jonathan Brown against the Bombers?

David Clarke and Chambers could as well. Mm. :)
And Mark Fraser (former Don and Pies player). All despised the contested side of the game much like Lids. I was staggered to see 15 of Deledio's 17 possessions were uncontested. How he got a corkie still has me stumped. I didn't think he got close enough to an opponent all game. Change room incident perhaps??
