And Mark Fraser (former Don and Pies player). All despised the contested side of the game much like Lids. I was staggered to see 15 of Deledio's 17 possessions were uncontested. How he got a corkie still has me stumped...
Deledio's sooking was not great. Gibbs got a corky 2 weeks ago, and is playing with a recently dislocated thumb that would have kept most out for several weeks- he just gets on with it. :)

If it gives you comfort, you keep thinking that :thumbsu:
NEWSFLASH....Everybody from 15 AFL clubs thinks Murphy is better than Deledio. Nobody with the choice of taking one or the other would overlook Murphy. Don't over rate your players. Deledio is good, but he is already behind a kid who is being tagged every game and playing in the middle in a midfield that is stronger than yours. He is not playing off a back flank. Chalk and Cheese. Deledio will always be a good player, Murphy will be one of a handful of truly elite onballers. Nothing wrong with running a distant second to a kid like that.

Thats the carlton rubbish you have to put up with mate.

When they actually start winning a few games then maybe we will show them and their supporters some respect. But 3 spoons in 5 years doesnt back up any of their claims atm.

Well to be honest, the majority of their supporters on here are actually ok. Only Parrott is a deluded Carlton supporter, the rest actually talk with some realism.

I swear Parrott has two d!*k$ given the amount of $h!t he talks.

How rich coming from a Doggies supporter....

Is your club the least successful of all time?

Yeah I know. What amazes me is the amount of self-congratulation among the Bulldogs players (i.e. keep calling each other "as good as Judd"), their supporters, and their adoring footy media, despite the fact they have actually achieved zip, and have a pathetic no success history. Their midsized-player-only-chip-kick uncontested game plan always comes unstuck in the big games (e.g. that Subi final), where power KP forwards are required, and ability to win the contested ball is paramount. :)

I always enjoy sitting back and watching the Doggies/Western Bulldogs/Footscray 15 year semi-success/merger talk cycle unfold. The last time was in the early 90's. It begins with a few finals appearances (but the inevitable finals capitulation) but what I enjoy more though, is the next 10 years of merger talks and tin-shaking that follow.
This proccess seems to be typical amongst the second-tier Victoria clubs.

Actually cant recall hearing bulldogs players comparing themself to Judd. Comes back to my two d!8K theory and you Parrott. Refer to my earlier post for a more detailed analysis.

Stating that Nick Stevens is more talented than any player on the bulldogs list lost any little repect I had for you.

Kinda sad to think you wish pain and suffering on others, especially when Carlton are going through the same stage as well. Kinda like kicking a guy when they are down, very poor comeback.

That second tier you talk about is just about where carlton are right now.

Well they did - only in the last week. One Bulldogs player said West and another said Brad Johnson was better than Judd. It was cringe-worthy stuff. This endemic self-congratulation at Footscray is reminiscent of the Saints over the last year or 2 before their window of opportunity snapped shut. :)

Oh yes Parrott, im sure they did.

We dont over estimate our abilities. Thats left for knobs like you with your bullish comments about Carlton and their players. However, there is never any substance to your claims.

I suggest you watch a video of that Subi final - you'll find a healthy dose of "substance" their. In the meantime I'll just laugh at the Bulldog players patting themselves on the back during the H&A. :)

Lindsay Gilbee...I didn't catch the whole thing, but what I got from it was that he thought Johnno is as good Judd...didn't hear West, but I could be wrong.
