Brett Ebert retires

i loved Ebert as a player. Watched him go through the Magpies and win the Magarey and thought he would be a gun at AFL level but for some reason Port thought he would be better as a small fwd.
I feel he would have been great through the midfield but didnt get the opportunity.

He only had a few opportunities here and there, but not the type of opportunities that an up-and-coming midfielder with high expectations has. Forward pocket under Williams and Primus would have had to be the worst position to play in, for your career. Frustrating.

Should have been given a run in the middle, when he did he was great.
