Worth the CFC looking at or not? Has been? Possibly handy across half-back?

He's 32 I think so probably too old for us.

Why bother. Only going to fill gaps for a year, taking a spot away from a talented youngster. We've spent far too long plugging gaps with guys who will never win us a premiership.

Better to take a punt on someone young who might actually be around for a few years

Didn't we just recruit Saddington for this purpose?
I understand what Richmond did last year with Mark Graham, but i would think there is no way he will be at Carlton next year.

Hell no!

When are we going to learn?
True, i guess that's never, by looking at our recent trade. Seriously id rather draft a youngster even if its a late pick, you never know what can happen. For example: Hird and Buckley.

You must be joking!

Average player in a good team.

I think you must be bored Paddy and just thinking up new threads for the sake of it.
Just putting it out there mate. I don't actually think we should draft him, I never even said that!

I just wanted to hear peoples views on him and if he's worth anything to us. In the PSD we will hopefully either go for a Selwood or a good kid like Eddie Betts who missed out on the national draft. With late draft picks I would much prefer a Wayde Mills or James Wall.

Great to have your input though just bagging others out mate!!!

fair point would be good value but you could buy 2 kids for him. Pagans tried to plug holes before, I wouldnt be suprised if we snaffled him up. 50/50 call for me

No thanks..............not at the expense of our youth. It's time to find out if some of them can actually play consistently at ALF level.

I believe he can play but is one of the last guys we need at Carlton. IMO he is another bad attitude player. We have enough of these on the list as it is and we havent got a good record with them. The present list needs some good solid minds to influence the others to be hard, fair and consistent.

i can't believe that any carlton supporter would even consider picking up a player who is 32.

when will we ever learn?

Difference being Montgomery can actually play and is still playing very good footy. He again took plenty of marks, 160 thi s year. I don't think we need him but you can't compare him to recent players!
