Great to see Brett Ratten back at club. Has the feel good of an old favourite returning. With a relatively young and inexperienced coaching team, he will be a great addition.

When seeing Clarkson, Viney and Ratten in the Kangaroos kit it all sort of had a dull, stale feeling about it seeing them in North colours, and the recruitment of Howe and Shiels only added to that. It didn't come across as a vibrant new regime taking over, and as such Ratts came across as a bit tired, and washed up himself, but I think they is the image North as a whole is putting out.

Seeing him again in Hawk colours in the interview, he looked like an experienced, wise, head that is going to offer a a hell of lot to our coaches and our group. He was a a significant asset in our 3 Pete when he came over, and to get him back is a big win for us, in terms of his knowledge, and his ability to coach players one on one is exceptional. He struggled with the senior role at time, while having his moments as well, but absolutely elite as an assistant coach, and this head of coaching is going to suit him to a tee.

Loved Ratts as an opposition player.
Loved him as a coach at the Hawks.
Seems a genuinely nice person who has been shafted by the Blues and again by the Saints in favour of bigger names.

Some people are just too nice to survive high-level organisational politics.
Great addition to the coaching and management team.

Seems to be the perfect Assistant Coach.

he'll always b a carlton man first and foremost.
doesnt really belong at the Dawks
Did you get this from "Baby's first post" at K-Mart?

I should also point out, he's been involved in three (that's 3) Hawthorn premierships, and one (that's 1) Carlton premiership.
