Always wondered who took this brilliantly timed photo of our champ!! That's Hodge in one still. You'll never fully remove the brown and gold from someone who bled this much for the club...
MasterSam…….are you a photographer ?Always wondered who took this brilliantly timed photo of our champ!! That's Hodge in one still.
I have listened to a few of Roughy's interviews and podcasts and list management is his go in the future it seems.
Hodgey still very much bleeds Brown and Gold but still has one foot in Lions camps.
Such a natural leader. In the Peter Crimmins biography, Ray Wilson tells an astounding story of leadership. Wilson was 21 and in his debut season for Hawthorn in 1966. Crimmins was 17, and it was also his debut season. Our main Rover Ian Law was injured, so Crimmins got a game in round 1, along with Wilson. 21 yo Wilson shirked a contest early in the first. After the ball had moved on, the 17 yo Crimmins was running past and said to him, "That won't happen again will it?" Wilson never forgot it. He went on to win our Best and Fairest award in his debut season. You'll never fully remove the brown and gold from someone who bled this much for the club...
Leigh Matthews bled as much as anyone for Hawthorn. He said his favourite premiership is coaching Collingwood in 1990 and he gets all warm and fuzzy and really nervous watching Brisbane play now.
Hodge has a soft spot for Hawthorn but if he had to make a choice of who to support in a Hawthorn v Brisbane GF it’s Brisbane and his kids if good enough will play for Brisbane. Sad but true.

Love having him back at the club.
The feeling is very much mutual.
and North Melbourne toyed with himRatten always struck me as a great guy with a big heart.
Carlton broke his heart.
Saints screwed him over.
