Comes from a great family.
Particularly when Carmichael is now offering value to a top 4 side. Came in yesterday and had an immediate impact in front of goal.
Younger, 190cm mid/forward who has shown to be dangerous inside 50, which is obviously of no interest to us.

After the Carmichael debacle, Crows recruitment team needs to do a "North" need someone else to pick our A-Grade midfielder and Pedlar needs a new coach. Still baffled how our best young clearance winner is playing forward in the 2s and Berry
(Although last few weeks I finally think he can be an AFL midfielder. But t his kicking is so poor I'd still like him forward as a pressure specialist)

I think the biggest problem at the AFC isn't their ability to get information or data on players, it's how this stuff is put together and what data we chose to prioritise in making our decisions.

Eh, lets give this one until the end of next year. As much as I jest that we're balls to the wall with winning the SANFL premiership, I have no doubt we've done this move for some extra depth in our system as next year is critical in this rebuild.

But there most certainly are others in the side I want to see in the AFL side before Turner gets a look. Pedlar played well today, Taylor looks clean, Cook was clever too. These lads need to be allowed to develop and any spots opening up in the main side should have them front and centre

Turner wasn't picked for 2022 ! .....watching Carmichael every game, I also can't see the hoo-ha of what we supposedly missed out on
We can certainly play both Turner & Pedlar ....but also Rankine & Rachelle
Our team mix will be very different next year

I highly doubt we'd pick an injured guy (and injured for months) for only 6 months. Not unless we're really underwhelmed.
I expect us to re-rookie him come the off-season.
I know people are really fixated on comparing this guy to Carmichael, but the reality is we could have taken both if we wanted - I just don't think we particularly rated or wanted Carmichael. That might be correct or it might not be, but if you leave out the Carmichael option, Turner was pretty much a free hit. We had a list spot due to the Sloane injury and we filled it with a mature midfielder in an age range which is a major gap in our list.
I don't know if he will end up playing AFL or not but I don't see it as a particularly big deal either way, unless you think Carmichael is a star we have overlooked for no reason. From watching the SANFL I think Turner looks... okay. No obvious reason he will ever play senior AFL for us but he's got some skills. Taylor would be much closer to selection in a similar role, you'd think.
