Who do you think is deserves an AA Selection more? Brian Lake is an attacking defender who does a very reliable job at stopping his man from getting the ball and along with that, offers a heap around the ground like for example, he's coming first in marks by opposition kicks by a mile and along with that, reads the play extremely well. Simon Prestigiacomo on the other hand, while he isn't much of an attacking defender, he's conceded the least goals this season and hasn't really been beaten this year yet (Apart from Riewoldt and Buddy). Because Scarlett will get selected, whether he deserves it or not, only one of Lake or Presti will get selected so who do you think it'll be?

1. Not everything can ben decided based on statistics
2. Lake HAS played on Fev and JBrown
3. If you decide things based on statistics, look at the massive disposal difference, so long as those disposals are rebounds or play set ups, the more than make up for the goals conceded and there's more than one reason why Scarlet and Lake are in contention for AA.

This year? I'm pretty sure Morris had him for the whole game.

Lake Presti
Kicks: 221 62
H/balls: 147 103
Marks: 171 54
Con. Marks: 37 1
Reb 50: 67 27

Food for thought, Lake gets 10 more disposals a game, is second in the league for marks, 4th for contested behind Roo, Brown and Fev. Lake might have as many spoils as Presti if he wasn't directly outmarking his opponent so often :) Whats more valuable, marking an opposition kick or spoiling to a 50-50?

Lake for mine.

I respect Presti, but he isn't an AA although he is very good at what he does.

Lake by a stret. How can you have a player in AA who doesn't get the ball.

Stopping his opponent is his job and he's very good at it. I think Lake should get in but I wouldn't be dissappointed if Presti got in. He has been extremely consistant.
