How do we know that lake was actually choking him? He may have been just holding him. The reason I say that it because if it was a choke Petrie would have been short of air and not able to sprint 50m and take a pack mark FFS.... And I recon that's exactly what Petrie will say once the mrc investigate. And Petrie is not a dobber.

It shows that the 'dog act' didn't have that much impact.

For me a dog act is where completely smash someone in a way that they can't expect or defend themselves from.

I agree

To me this is a silly, selfish act, maybe a brain snap but yeah its not a dog act belting a guy with his back turned or smashing him with his head over the ball

A fine and reprimand from what I remember. That was a headlock. This was a clutch at someone's throat. Id imagine it will be looked at much differently.

The hawk fans here are talking about the injury to Petrie, which appears to be almost non existent.

Nope, he had his head in a lock...as soft as Scott T's skull maybe, it would take a Game Of Thrones effort to crush his skull...unlike the throat.
 
Lol at the media circle jerk last night and how it has brain washed the majority of watchers. Lake shouldn't get suspended for that after everybody has been getting off this year for hitting people in the head. A fine for wrestling at most
 
Yeah LP is right, not enough force for a suspension as Petrie wasn't starved of enough oxygen to die.

Remember when Campbell brown decked ward completely unexpectedly off the ball? That's worthy of a month's suspension.

FWIW Adams had two shoulder reconstructions done over the 2013 pre-season and he effectively has struggled to get back to wear he was pre Chicken Wing.

As boring a video this is, it does reference the extension of the chicken wing and the strapping that he does every training session and every week.

Chicken Wing wasn't the sole cause, but it didn't help.

kind of act you would expect from a 22 yr old and not from the 32 yr old. Does have a long history of on field indiscretions though and with the body beginning to break down on him, I guess he's just getting bitter knowing the end is right around the corner.

Not at all. Last year in round 23 a club talked up a medical on a player to ensure a layer was suspended for a week as they played them the next week.
