I don't think we have maximised their talents to an extent. This team was clearly built around Cripps and his strengths in style, Weitering in our defensive mindset, and not at all Curnow and McKay and their strengths. Having said that, these leaders have wasted their own careers to a large extent. They seldom ever fire at the same time.
They kept saying we need to get Cripps help, so they getting in slow big bodied mids like him. What they needed to get was outside speed for him to hand it to.

People knock our supporters, but we still turn up. Richmond only had 23k at their game today. At least we're not frontrunners like them.

I've said this a few times, and people will probably facepalm (again), but IMO I think our Gameplan is a good point of difference to 90% of the comp's 'Run and Gun' same ol' unaccountable footy, and would stand up with a few changes to the list, it's mainly our disposal that kills it, as it would with literally every other club.
Get L Campo on a wing and get Acres out, trade one of Cerra or Walsh for someone with good disposal, and can play mid/fwd like Martin/Petracca.
We need a Weddle type at the Half back who can break lines (Not McGovern or Haynes), and another outside mid with elite disposal.
Oh yeah, and anyone who doesn't pull their weight gets dropped, no favourites.
It's culture killing and how do we expect anyone to have faith in being rewarded for good form if their spot is clogged with Coaches favorite.

I'm going to concentrate on positives now. I don’t want to give the club an easy out, by virtue of our silence, but hopefully the message has been received.
Lachie Cowan - this guy has grown immensely. He gets more of the ball, he has maintained his skill level, and he looks like a leader.
Harry O'Farrell - I'm glad he got consecutive games. We can see what he is going to be in the future and it is exciting. A first year KPD shouldn't be showing this much, this early.
Matt Carroll - Yes, he coughed up goals, but he had no support around him. When he gets into the midfield, he looks so much better. Get him on to a wing.
Ashton Moir - He missed a immensely important goal, and he doesn’t win a heap of ball. He needed Motlop's midfield minutes. We see what he did in the VFL, but we play him in starvation corner. He's dual sided and provides some special glimpses.
Marc Pittonet - Has come back into this side in great form. He's one to protect the kids.
I think Ben Camporeale is another who will make it.
There's a few young guys who, together with Jagga Smith, will provide plenty of joy going forward, but a lot depends on who the coach is, or what the game plan is.

We only have six games left until we get to draw a line under this wretched season. The new CEO is arriving at just precisely the right time.
I'd say a positive was that I don't think the coach has "lost the players". They've just lost their connection and mojo. Lost each other if you will. But they're trying pretty hard and they do care. It's just not coming together against better teams. We have a winnable game this week. Hopefully they can repeat the effort or even lift it.

looking forward to more afternoon games next year
one should concentrate positively going forward, some quality young players coming through, the game results last night should have been far more sided in Brisbane favore, thought that our boys tried hard overall given the huge talent differential and our lack of personal.

The talent differential is not as great as it appears.
This seems to be more a reset than a rebuild.
Cowan is so exciting - powerful athlete who is courageous and a good user.
Would love two of him - one in defence and one in the midfield.
Reminds me of a young Luke Parker.

Cowan was fantastic last night
HOF and Moir had some really good moments too.
Carroll, whilst having some disappointing moments, also shows glimpses.
Need to keep playing all of them.

Get Flynn Riley on the list, use the TDK compo to pick up another modern Mid/HF.
