Heh. Gawd. Morton and Bate are two of the most disappointing players on an AFL list, in my view. They've both utterly failed to develop into the players I thought they would. They should be (roughly) Andrew Embley and Ryan O'Keefe sorts by now, and are obviously nowhere near that.

I remember arguing with my Hawks fan mate about Bate/Birchall after their first seasons. "I'll take the attacking mid/forward over your back flanker any day mate!"
