Interesting point that came up in Knightmare's draft thread over on D&T. He reckons chuck Brock in there and it'll improve our mids immensely, as it means we have three genuine clearance players and then can shift the young'uns outside.

That said, he's still a bloody tortoise and we're already getting slayed by pace.

He'd be cheap too, Carlton will want the cap space and we have it to burn. Year left, tell them we'll pay the last year of the contract and give them a bottom pick.

Talking point suggestion more than anything.

Personally I don't find it so outlandish though. It'd only be one year guaranteed - make it two with the second year bottom-money. If he's not good enough he gets dropped. No match guarantees at all. It generates competition for inside mid positions, encourages those guys that are in the midfield as our extractors to lift their game, tackle hard etc.

The reality is we have cap to burn and our clearance players are already slow anyway. We're going to have high-end outside mids come in.

He'd probably end up playing for Casey a lot anyway, but it's one of those ones where I wonder if we have much to lose on it apart from a list slot. We're hurting for pace, but we're hurting for experience even more.

Brock is not what we are aiming for in midfielders......we want A graders and already have the inside players in Mckenzie, Magner, Moloney, Jones and if needed trengove and Sylvia.

We need inside outside mids, to come in, not slow inside mids imo
