I enjoy them too noddy. I agree that he has a good sense of humour, and would be an interesting character to meet despite his obvious handicap in choice of teams.

Yeah, good to have the friendly banter of Pred & his Power mates around to add to our board. As long the comments are "friendly fire" there is nothing wrong with that. I would hope we don't come to precious on this board with opposition supporter comments. Danni mentioned that she hasn't deleted many posts, as there hasn't been any real need to. Hopefully this week the Crows & Port boards will fire up a bit.

I'm always negative about the Showdowns, and I was surprised to hear all the guys "On The Couch" pick the Crows.

I believe Port is a much better team at the moment. How are we going to stop the Burgoyne boys?

Chad Cornes and Warren Tredrea always out play their Crows opponents, even though Tredrea's goal kicking has let him down.

Cane Cornes has proved himself to be an excellent tagger so far this season.

Nick Stevens is on fire.

What about Wanganeen?

Dean Brogan apparently outplayed French completlely, so he'll give our ruckmen a run for their money.

The Power seem to have the wood on us, for some reason, and I don't believe that will change on Saturday.

I hope I'm wrong!

BTW, is it just me, or is that Peter Burgoyne one arrogant little ****?? Do the Crows have such arrogant players (apart from big Wayne, and he seems a little quieter this year)?

Confident 2 out of McLeod, Ricciuto & Goodwin will have very big games. No pesky Francou to worry about & Stevens will be kept under control by Stinger. Got a feeling we will win confortably as we wont be letting another good lead slip like over the past few years. Maybe Macca19's margin is on the smaller side.

Yep he is a arrogant/kocky nippy little player. Normally only in the his play and not with his actions towards other players... ie. by playing on and/or running around players.

Unfortunately he still has to develop better timing for when and where to use those skills... see last years final Vs Collingwood and playing on from a mark in the goal square.

Thankfully Shaun Burgoyne seems to have a smarter sense about when to use his silky skills.

The only Crows players who seem arrogant to me are Smart and maybe Ruccutio on a few occassion when he is being beaten by Carr.

Any should be a top game.

Geez you guys are a lot more confident than me.

I believe we can win. I know we can win.

BUT

We aren't travelling as well as we might be at the moment. We aren't bringing it correctly into the forward lines and we are burning the ball quite a bit.

We're still having these lulls where we are happy to sit back on our laurels. Do this against Port and those hungry so and sos wil take control of the game.

Having said all that, if we get our act together, we certainly have the personnel to win.

Adelaide by 11 points.

Can't imagine why I shoud think that the AFC's supporters should be positive about the AFC. Strange concept when we are sitting second on the ladder with the best percentage.


Not saying that Port don't have lots of positives too but think we have MORE at the moment.

Do you require that when one posts something positive about Port, they must always balance it by posting an equivalent amount of positive observations about the Crows?

It was a post about who would win - Port or Crows yet the poster could only find Power positives.

Stevens and Carey are a real worry.

The rucks aren't playing against the Power's reserve ruckmen from last year this week - they're against 2 of the best this week.

And we're not playing last year's cellar dwellers this week.

And we haven't got Primus and Francou.

I did say I'm very negative. I start off thinking we have no hope of winning, but on the day of the game, I see a little glimmer of light.

My main reason for thinking Port will win is that deep down, I think they want to win it more. They know they're the "second" team in town and have more to prove.

I listened to Mark Ricciuto interview on 5aa today.

Corensy made a point how media is building up this showdown as a tougher affair than in it was in the past due to Bickley - Wakelin incident from Showdown 12. Corensy then went on to say that he felt that was not the extra "spice" as he felt that Ricciuto Vs Carr is going to add a bit more fire to the contest after the Ramsgate incident.

Ricciuto's reply: "They can't do anything about it on the field and get away with it. If they want to approach it that way thats fine. We are going in for the ball"

THen coresny said something like "Yes but you and Carr are not mates"

Ricciuto: "Back in your days Graham you were not mates with any of the Port boys were you???"

Its was very obvious that he doesn't like the powder very much in fact I think he hates them with passion
