I saw him play a few weeks ago and he went pretty well took some nice grabs and was backing back into packs a couple of times. I was one of those nicho bashers before the game, but he turned me around a bit by the end of the match, should he get a look in this week after Rivers enforced holiday? If he doesn't come back this week, he'll more than likely be back against the tigers the week after, with all the talls they have up forward, if not nicho this week, who should come in for Rivers to toughen up the back half?

Has been woeful in the few games he's played this season. Mind you when you are in & out of the side its hard to get into any form. Should match up against Lance WHitnall this week as fevola will be way too fast. His biggest problem is if we can't match him up on anyone he is of no use elsewhere.

I agree,
Nicho must come back to cover rivers and I hope he hits some form similar to what he had before he last was injured. I know he's had some poor performances his last couple of senior games but he's experienced, big and quick (for a big guy). Besides, we don't have many other options to cover rivers.
The demon defence has been terrrible 2 out of the last three weeks anyway and a fevola show is definetely the main concern this week. I guess fergo will get first go at him and if that doesn't work out nicholson would be my next choice. What do you think? I hope whelan gets back fot this one..

Not sure nicho is particularly quick but I think this talk of playing him on the so called gorillas is a load of rubbish. Yes he needs to play on the bigger guys but:
1. that means we are telling ferguson we have no confidence in him when we drop him for Al Nicholson for certain matchups
2. our backline is not settled if we chop & change
I know we've had injuries but our defence is one of the worst performed in the comp. Whelan will be a handy inclusion when he comes back. The likes of williams should not be kicking 8 goals against us. Reminded me of when danny del re kicked 8 or 9 against us in the early-mid 90s. Should never of happened but it did!!

Miller should NOT play down back unless they play three talls, and if we play Richmond again just bring Nicholson into the side to play on Stafford with Rivers on Simmonds and Fergy on Richo. We need to develop Miller up forward as our permanent CHF and I am sick of Daniher playing him down back just because he did a good job on Barry Hall. He should only be down back on forward lines with 3 talls that have talls that Bizzel or Wheatley can't handle.

you guys really do have no idea.
you don't play defensive. matchups are not a reason for someone to get in the side who is going to be a detriment to the size. look at nicholson vs gehrig. perfect example. it was pointless and stupidity.

you play ur best 22. end of story. you do not sacrifice anyone for 'matchup'.
Hopefully daniher has learnt his lesson.

Now he just needs to get rid of holland !!
