Anyone else seeing a similar trajectory here?

In 2015, the Bulldogs finished 6th against everyone's expectations. Some of their young guns went to the next level (Bontempelli, Macrae, Hunter etc) while some of their older guard were still holding things together (Murphy, M.Boyd, Morris, Picken).
In 2019, Brisbane finished in the finals with some of their young guns went to the next level (McCluggage, Bailey, Answerth etc) while some of their older guard were still holding things together (Hodge, S.Martin, Robinson, Zorko).

Both teams went out of the finals in straight sets (in the Doggies case, more like a straight set) with a largely inexperienced finals team. Obviously the Bulldogs went onto win the flag the following year, and you'd expect Brisbane to be right up there in 2020. The following year however, age caught up with some of the older Dogs players, which coincided with a plummet down the ladder and the start of a mini-rebuild.

Everyone right now is expecting Brisbane to be big players for the next 5-10 years, but with Hodge retiring, Martin 33, Robinson 31 and Zorko 31, should we actually be expecting a soft rebuild out of Brisbane within the next 3-4 years?
